Just need the option to report players without needing them to actually type messages since, whenever bots 'do' manage to make it on to Balmung, they never actually spam and therefore can't be reported.
Interesting.. Coming back after a break and since you mention it I haven't seen a single RMT tell or shout since getting back last week. Kudos Dev team!
Yeah, this is actually pretty great! Great work!
I've seen one RMT this past week. It was in say in Limsa near the MBs. I finally got to use my report function.
i rarely get /tells now but they still spam in the cities -late night-early morning hours-
plus , they started using /shout chat
The difference since the Report function has been amazing. I still see the occasional general chat bot spam but that's way less irritating than having a separate /tell tab flooded with shitspam.
I still see them at marketboards everyday, repeating the same nonsense in /say over and over. I report it and move on, but it seems to be a fresh bot every time I pass. Some are even usimg /shout now, knowing the bot will be deleted swiftly.
I see no more /tell spam, however, which is a marked improvement.
I'll see the /say or /shout in the towns but those are quickly snuffed out. So I say good job all around.
Now they just need to do something about gathering (and other exploit) bots...
Especially when we report them constantly.
Yep, i absolutely loath RMT as they are the most annoying creatures to deal with it in MMO, as it's like a saleman knocking on your door all day, begging you to buy their crap.
i was shocked to only have gotten 2 tells since the 5 week in patch 3.4 and that was on the second day, they just hug the MBs now and spam, but on a heavly character creation locked server they don't show up often. It's nice to play in peace now and not have busy status on 90% of the time.
Not every system is a guarantee. I see them all the time in Limsa at the markets.
For a ton of people, I'm sure just seeing the incredibly lowered amount of tells is a large problem off their backs. They just need to tweak it enough to where it can catch the market ones, as well as the cheating ones.
That last sentence made me feel like a sylph.
Here, here! I no longer have to use Busy status to avoid RMT tells and inadvertently be immune to all tells. Love it, thank you team!
Yeah but now in Limsa there's 3 different rmt company bots spamming harder than ever using /say. And they change the bots around very frequently too. It's worse than ever. Like really really bad now.
Yeah I could hang out somewhere else but then that'd mean an entire section of the game is a no go area unless you want to be spammed up the ass...I wish I could show screen shots..
I will agree with others that I've seen the "in say" RMT around some market board areas become more prominent, but I'm rarely in those areas. With housing/apartments having market boards there isn't much need. However I agree with you venoshock that it sucks for a whole area to become off limits cause RMT live there.
i had 3 /tells just other day so there still about just rare
Low-pop server here. The MB bots have always been there, but it's nicer to be able to report them easier. At least with those, it's pretty obvious when/where they are. I'll often even stand around a few minutes just to be able to report them.
Been able to move /tells back into my general tab. Haven't gotten any spam. Or any tells for that matter, but that's a different issue.
