How dare they remove the screen making it easier for me to repair things, HOW DARE THEY I SAY.
Love it.
Now if grade 5 matter could repair anything could it get any better?
almost end of the month and nothing yet :|
thing i hate about repairs you still need a high level craft to repair you lv50's equip its just a repair should lower it a bit, not like people are running aound looking to repair your equip for that small amount of xp they get.
the xp is actually not bad, you can get over 300 xp for a repair, so its not something to be scoffed at.
I liked the old system where you used actual mats. Made sense imo, also made repairung gear worthwile for crafters.
He's allowed to dislike something as much as you're allowed to like it. It doesn't mean he's an arrogant person, it just means he has a different opinion. Which is kinda the whole point of a forum - to share opinions.
Now, if he was rude and obnoxious it would be a whole different deal, but he was perfectly polite, so I don't see the problem.
It's about time that NPCs can repair accessories. Sheesh.
The only thing that i dislike about the changes to the repair system, is that the post was in fact not the new master list of actions and traits for each class.
Ditto. While I hate to sound like some kind of entitled ass(there's enough of that going around these forums), I was kind of hoping that Part Deux of the class changes would have shortly followed after the first. Maybe I just misinterpreted some translated posts and community responses, but I was under the impression that they were already done with the actual development nitty gritty and were just preparing the post.
I agree. I understand that it could have been a hassle to get some mats(I was a crafter for a bit on my last character), but they could have just easily fixed that by lowering the obtuse level or secondary crafting requirements and made certain mats easier to acquire. It felt more realistic to be carrying a bunch of leather spetches rather than "dark matter". But that's neither here nor there at this point.
Yay! I can get my dang earrings repaired quickly when I am in a hurry. I still prefer to have a DoH do it if I have time to look for one.
Also, I really wish they would kick out any retainer in the repair wards that does not have something up for repairs and/or has been there for more than 3 days. After 3 days I figure everyone in there is asking for repairs for a insultingly low reward.
First, I'd like to say that I like these changes, but I think they should complete the unfinished thought. In addition to these changes (maybe it would have to wait til 2.0 due to server issues or such), I would like them to untie the repair process from the bazaar process. So that you could simply flag and offer gil for each item instantly w/o having to unequip it. This is one of those things that just bugs the hell out of me. If the NPC can figure out how to repair equiped gear, then surely we can too. Doing something like this would streamline the process further, and could really help out with repairs when your on the go (dungeon runs, etc).
The other thing I was curious about was that information we had prviously heard about doing away with accessory repairs and having ALC and CUL "charge" them full with potions and food dishes and what not. What happened with this idea? Was it thrown out? If not, then when can we expect to see it? If so, then how will ALC and CUL be able to participate more in the economy seeing as they don't repair anything or materia slot anything?
Hey guys! I just wanted to let you know that the dev. team agrees that it would be convenient and create more inventory space if they allowed the use of grade 5 dark matter for equipment of any level. We will be implementing this in 2.0, but if there are enough requests we can look into implementing it even sooner. ;)
So I can use Grade 5 to fix Grade 1 equips and get +4 inventory space...You're ON!
So where do we put the signature? Like?
I would also like to support this change :D
Full Support on this idea :) xD
great news... now let us have a materia bag to put this 200+ materia i have when my mule disappears.
I am pretty sure the materia bag would be an issue due to server restrictions. That was always the case with XI for storage and I am getting the same impression here. they can't(guessing) or is very hard to create another seperate inventory that does not count towards main inventory. That being said the one Materia to repair everything that rank 1-5 covers now would be awesome. Got my vote. I am guessing again that it will not be an issue in 2.0 because it looks like we can carry multiple different bags, probably of different sizes.
This is good news!!!
I'd assume that with increase in levels, they would also make the Dark Matter LVL 6,7,etc be used for any lower level equipment repair.
Anyone who says SE isn't listening or not trying to meet the community half way is silly.
I wonder if they will ever add "repair all" option? At least make it auto up to the point that if you are an armorer, then you repair all of his armor with this "all repair option".
