Well, one thing I am unsure of, and I have been researching, but I'd like to know whether or not Uematsu is still scoring music for FFXIV, and if this game is going under a musical overhaul as well.
I also wonder why the music we have for FFXIV couldnt be as epic as

I mean, I know that isn't a SE game but if Uematsu was capable of this at the time, I am wondering why we couldn't get something like this in FFXIV.

Alright, i've heard the tracks from FFXIV over and over again, and I am loving the direction of the music in patch 1.19. What I am asking is if Uematsu is still scoring the music for FFXIV, even in 2.0. I am not saying they are bad compositions, but the video i posted is just an example of how lively a battle theme is compared to Coerthas or Mor Dhona Battle Themes.
Yukikaze's video is a perfect example of one of the few tracks that fits in well with FFXIV, and I understand that Uematsu didn't have much to go off of when composing the music for FFXIV. Can you guys please, just PLEASE try to read posts from now on? Holy shit i swear nobody knows how to read, just how to troll... -

Take La Noscea for example. that battle music in Sposhae is amazing. Reminds me of Sinister Sundown from Kingdom Hearts. Need more music like it!

I am a huge fan of Uematsu but I don't think his style really fits this game, the newer stuff fits much better. -

I think when Nobuo Uematsu was creating music for FFXIV, he had only concept art to work on. I'd like to see what new creations he can make now and beyond if he was given the chance.

The thing about the battle music is that if you listen closely parts of the battle music mirror the original field music (i think its called a leitmotif? I'm not too informed). The older La Noscea/black shroud music has parts that are in the battle music, so I think it fits great. Ul'dah's battle theme as far as I can tell doesnt have parts that coincide with the field music (which is why I might dislike it, along with the fact that I really don't like how it starts), but the guildleve music sure does.
Also, don't be dissin coerthas's battle music. Both pieces in that area are my favorites in the game by far.
