Lala or Miqo'te?

I'm torn on which one to choose :c

I like your Miquo'te more, even if i'm a fan of lala, i think she has a little something that your lala don't.
Plus yeah, sometimes it's hard to glam lala, using certain pieces may be....inapropriate IMHO

As much as I love Lalafells, I'd have to go with Miqo'te.

I think its mainly down to that some cosmetic items like, thavnairian set for example, doesnt look too great on lalas ive seen, but I may be wrong.

If you are planning on wearing the Thavnairian set or the Eastern Lord sets or the knee high boots, go for Miqote. I love Lalafell, but alot of the more "adult" looking outfit do not fit them.

It sounds like it boils down to two choices. do you want to appear cute or do you want to appear sexy? (Yes I know Miqo'te fits both criteria but the choice of glamour is what veers it over to the "sexy" side)

Miqote all the way. We more cute, more sexy and more sassy. Lalas are just food with legs

Lalafells are adorable and you can literally fart at someone, they will always smile with awe at you. Anything is allowed when you are cute. But...
Being practical and with my own experience (I started as lala), you might encounter problems like camera angles. I changed my own target name color to red just so I could see myself within all the other players, and still had trouble seeing my girl. Tanking will be more challenging than other taller races, my boyfriend had less trouble tanking as Au-Ra for instance than as lala.
I found miqote (which is what I used to play in ff11, well, mithra) had the perfect height. It also is what feels more like "me", but that's just a personal experience.
All in all, I like miqote better on the long run, but then as I said, I'm a kitty at heart.

There were 2 men once upon a time, a wise old sage, and a young inexperienced fool. One day, as things are likely to happen, they began to have a disagreement about the land around them, for they were both men who liked to have their seperate space. Said the young man to the old: "I shall have my choice of the land around us 1st, since your life is all but spent old man..whereas my own has many moons to go." The old man quietly nodded in agreement.

Stepping forward, the young man surveyed the lands to the east and west. To the west, were flatlands, with smooth, unbroken fields for planting rows of crops, lakes for drinking and swimming, and firm flat ground for building a sturdy house. While they were ripe with life and vegetation, working them wouldve presented a great challenge, since one would have to travel up and down their grand construct to get to his/her desired destination.

"I have made my decision", said the young man in firm tone. "I shall have my fill of the smooth flat fields and lands to the west..while you may trouble yourself with the great mounds of the east." Again, the old man quietly nodded in agreement.

Time went by, and the young man prospered greatly. He decorated his flat fields with lavish buildings and gardens. Flowers as far as the eye could see danced in the morning sun, and the rivers sat still in peaceful tranquility. The old man, on the other hand lived a quiet and humble life far atop the grand, busty, full mounds his home was situated upon, stopping every now and then to enjoy the awe-inspiring view they provided.

One winters night..a foul storm rolled in, one such as the wold had never before known. Grand, unholy winds, wicked thunder, and relentless, merciless sheets of rain poured down. For 10 days did it rain..then 20..then 30. The rivers of the flatlands were soon overwhelmed..and became lakes....then the beginnings of an ocean.

It was by this time, that the young man realized he was in grave danger. Gathering up his valuables, he desperately made for the tall firm, lifegiving rolling hills where the old man resided. He then tried to climb them, but the waters had made said mounds completely wet and slippery, so that his feet could not gain the mastery over them. In panic he called out:" Old man!! Save me, oh save me!" But the old man, far atop the safty of his grand mounds called back, "Sorry, my son, for you have made your decisions in life...and I mine. I chose to climb atop these firm large mounds..while you sought the comforts of the flatlands. We must walk our own paths, no?"

The young man drowned.

The next day, the old man came back outside his house from high atop the great hills that had shielded him from death with their large, full swells in order to vigorously milf the milf out of his milk laiden milking cow. As he began milking the milk cow, he looked...looked down their firm peaks, at the flatlands..and smiled. Smiled a smile that only came with age and wisdom, and his eyes gazed ever into the distant horizons.

Bebekurenai makes a good point.

I Fantasia way too often, as I love Au Ra and Lalafell's with their expressive animations, but I always float back to Roe or Elezan for their height.

It's just easier to see a taller character in crowds and the higher camera isn't as hard on the eyes. /shrug


Between the two you posted, even ignoring the above, I prefer the cat.

Lalafell. I find them cuter in general. I also admit I may be alittle biased, as I tend to examine and pay much more attention to characters that are not au'ra or miquote.

Make an alt of a lala (your avatar seems to match your image, so I assume you already have experience with the Miquote), run around a bit, then simply make your choice. That way, you'll save a Fantasia if you end up disliking Lalafell.

I vote for the Miqo'te who needs to activate her windows.

Personally I like your Miqo'te more, but that's based on a couple factors:

1. I'm biased as a cat lover
2. She has nice complimentary colours, especially with the orange hair and blue dress. Though I would question purple makeup on orange hair with green eyes. (It's a tricky combo to balance, it may work better if the eyeshadow was lighter so the colours aren't all competing for attention.)
3. Lalas are so small and anatomically compacted that it's difficult to show off any nice glamours, because most players are staring into space far above their heads. It's an effort to see the detail.
4. I don't find anything particularly striking about the Lala's looks personally. Standard white hair and green eyes. You were a lot more creative with your Miqo'te.

I like your Miqo'te better. I think outfits look nicer on them.

Miqo'te, because Lalafells are evil.

Au'Ra master race

If it were me, and I only had those two choices, it would be Miqo'te. Lala's are ultra cute, but I share your concern with some of the glams I would seek out wouldn't look as good on the Lala. However, there are some things that nobody makes it look better than a Lala (I'm looking at you Spriggan cap!).

The choice in main job also factors into a decision for me. I highly associate jobs like NIN, BRD, and AST with Miqo'te, while classes like WAR, MCH, and BLM are with the Lalas. So perhaps that might help you as well.

This reminds me of conversations I would have with friends. They would always be talking about which race was best, and I suggested, "Why not a lalaqo'te?" It was silent for several seconds, and most agreed with me. Which brought up another discussion. There can't be all pure blooded races in the game, right? There should be some hybrid races, Lalafell+Miqo'te, Elezen+Roegadyn. So why not let us mix and match what we like?

I vote the miqote.

I'd say pick the race you feel happier with. Not glamours, race. Costumes come and go.

I used to be a cat and even though most of the glamours might look better on cat characters, I didn't feel that they look good enough. So I went lala. The difference was very noticeable both in the way how I play and how others react to my character. As a cat I had creepy stalkers and people staring at me, as a lala I get random hugs and "awww, you're so cute!" comments. Based on those experiences, I'm more happy playing a lalala.

Or how about skipping a few beers and buying a bunch of fantasias to switch race every now and then?

Considering she looks like a 8 years old girl, I find the Thav set very.....weird, just like the Elin on Tera for example :/ and god knows i've played a lala a long time but every time I see a "sexy" one...it's makes me fell uncomfortable (not saying that you should not dress your avatar the way you want or are weird doing it, it's just my personnal feeling rgarding the matter)

Careful, someone will get triggered by you saying that. And i'm always sexy as a lala, we know how to bring all the bois to the yard. To the OP, I say go with how you FEEL you should be, kinda like how I can not stop being a lala(Also people love me as a lala and not a tall person)

Lalafells, always. :D From personal experience, the day I used my fantasia was the day I never looked back. It feels like a complete breath of fresh air and a different experience compared to races with human (ish) proportions. Tied with roegadyn males as one of the most distinguished race body types, I'll say that if you want a change of pace (literally) then short and plump is the way to go.
Emotes are also one of the areas in which lalafells shine too. Compared to miqo'te emotes, I think they are more exaggerated and expressive, making for humorous reactions to everything big and small. Miqo'te emotes are also wonderful in their own right, but lalafells have that edge in playfulness.
I've seen alot of gear related comments that some types of gear don't exactly look... 'fitting' for lalafells, and I agree somewhat, but it also works in the other direction - there's some gear that looks much better on lalafells. Especially gear such as robes and tank gear which hide the our potbellies.
Along with being the cutest race, there's also an epic feeling you get which you can't with any other race (bar minimum size au ra females), which is that despite their shorter stature and slight physical limitations, they still manage to take on the greatest of content - ranging from gigantic bosses from bahamut to alexander, to the most whimsical and lighthearted chocobo race. From a lore perspective, if there's any race that defies all negative odds, it's lalafells for sure.
