especially since they are unlikely to come back next year
and some of them can only be placed once and can't be taken
edit: they don't have to be tradable

Yeah thats what I also think they should do, crafting recipes for at least the food stuff.
No, crafters already have enough ways to make money. Leave the seasonal items the way they are.
Summer event furniture was put in the CS, including the "destroyed upon removal" one.
It's only a matter of time until SE adds the other ones there.
They definitely won't rob themselves of the posibility to make money just to give the recipe to crafters.
And, as someone who got burned by crafters badly this patch, I can't even say I mind that
At least SE doesn't want 120 million dollar/euro/pound for the stuff they sell..
("only" 135 instead..which is outrageous enough but yeah..I can make money in rl more reliably than ingame).
If they make it lvl1 recipes how are people gonna be "mad" at the crafters. I really think this should be craftable for everyone even after the event ends.
If you want it SE will want to charge you for it lol
it could always be untradable crafts for people that participated in an event
Furniture is a bit tricky, since they are meant to be unique perks for people who played during that time, so adding them to something a crafter could craft would kill an inventive for players to be subbed. Rather a player could just find a crafter who has the recipes and sadly potentially turn towards RMT to get the gil needed to buy them.
However, I do think all fireworks should be added as recipes in a similar way as dyes, allowing all craft classes to craft them, even if the cost behind them involved GC seals or such. Because it is a shame to be limited to the use of those based on how much you felt like stacking and since they are limited it is hard to part with them.
If anything I would love something like in XI where you could get a 24hr cooldown on a piece of equipment to use an ability that gave you an item, so if you did the event you would have an item that gives you X reward as you please as long as you used it. But of course crafting be prefered THOUGH an idea just popped into my head.
Example. Magicked Prism(Pumpkin) Ingredients: Ogre Pumpkin. Growth Formula Alpha. EQUIPMENT REQUIRED:Vampire's Vest.
So if you have the Vampire's Vest gained from the event and the basic ingredients above along with whatever shards needed to craft it, you would be able to make the prism yourself. And they are more than capable of doing this because the Ixali quest not only had a system in which you were required to have Ehcatl Wristgloves equipped but later on you needed a specific Facility Access Buff active on your craft class.
Then ya, while sure later on a player could buy said event gear through the mog station, buy purchasing it it unlocks the "Event Recipe" as long as you are wearing it while doing said craft.
For furniture, it seems far more likely that theyw ill add the itesm to the Mog Stattion
For the fireworks it seems just as likely they will add those to the loot pool from the Accursed Hoard
I agree at least it would be nice with the fireworks. I am having lots of firework already in my inventory and a lot more at my retainer..I like fireworks and I find most of them well done. Yet since I am not really sure if they are back next time (and even if, one year is a lot of time..) so I am already buying lots of them at the event.
Just make it so that you have to buy a book at the event which is not tradeable and has them as lvl 1 recipes. Since they are putting the furniture in the mog station, I fear that those wont be craftable ever...but maybe at least give us that participated the chance to buy them from that one npc...if you cant sell them, you would still get money from all the people that missed the event..
