Dragoon should be able to....

Turn into a dragon. Like an animorph.

Shame that it takes more balance in this regard than just having a dragon pet does, but it would be cool.

This may be a little early, but have you thought about extensions? The new FFXIV he does not actually ideas that you would have had for a first extension?

and yes, animorphs ftw! (though it saddened me to later learn that KA Applegate only really wrote 5-7 books.. the rest were all ghostwritten)

speaking of ghostwritten, Ghostwriter on PBS was a great show :D

Check out KA Applegate's Wikipedia page at some point. All of her books are listed. She wrote a lot more than I knew about. I am not sure what you mean by "Ghostwritten". I am just not familiar with the term. Does that mean someone else wrote them and she put her name on them?

Yes, someone else wrote them and put her name on it. However, I misspoke. She wrote more than 7 but she wrote less than half of the overall series including spinoffs. See the wiki page's list of books:
