What they said is... they would PREFER that everyone upgraded to 64-bit OSes, but that they will continue to support 32-bit OSes for now. 32-bit isn't done, but the min spec is going up, so it's an improvement.

PS3 was so terrible they couldn't add new inventory space, and the console couldn't even support a seperate UI for mouse and keyboard while having the ability to connect both.

Thing is/was trash.

As a ps3 player it's a bit sad to see people really happy that other people might no longer be able to play. But i do understand that there were restriction caused by keeping the support so i won't say i don't understand partially, just remember that this might hurt more people then help . Luckily got a ps4 for my birthday so hope I'll be able to switch soon especially if we're getting a free upgrade.

AAR launched almost 6 months before the release of the PS4, which was supply constraint till March 2014.

Now we're 3 years into PS4's lifespan, and thing is basically in the power range of a decent 2013 laptop, AKA it's also weak as shit, but there is always an upcoming PS4 Pro for performance gains over the OG model if you console game.

What do you mean? I thought instanced content wasn't going to stop plus, as nice as those screens are, they look like they came from someone's phone camera, which does the preview injustice.

To be fair people in the tread have already asked for the PS4 support to be removed. Some people will only be happy if this game can only be played on custom made gaming rigs despite the fact that hardly anyone would actually be able to play.

As a former PS3 player, I do feel for those who'll inevitably get left behind. But I would be extremely surprised in Yoshida and the rest of the dev team didn't take a lot of their information into consideration before making this decision. What with the dropping PS4 prices, the difficulty of catering to PC, PS4, and PS3 players combined, and the (likely) dwindling PS3 player population, they probably felt that now was the best time to drop support. After all, if they didn't drop support with 4.0, then we'd be waiting another two years for this to happen with 5.0. The PS3 population would continue to shift to PS4 or PC, and the devs would continue spending time creating content work-arounds for the lower specs of the PS3 instead of working on improving the overall game quality.

Meaning the actual world, not dungeons is seamless. Like WoW was back in 2004 for god's sake.

You shouldn't have loading screens between areas, and a city shouldn't be made of 3-4 different load zones as well.

Well yoshi already said back at 3.0 release that they weren't sure if they were going to continue ps3 support for 4.0 So not like huge bombshell was dropped, the writing was already on the wall they just made it official.

They need to clarify if the ps3 support drop will be only for 4.0 content or for the whole game, like, keeping 2.0 and 3.0 active for PS3 players.

They said that they're going to force upgrade PS3 to a free PS4 version, so ALL PS3 support is going away

Would be good if they reworked the areas like WoW did with the old zones into one seamless area, and PS3 was taken off the shelves completely.
