Hey y'all,
My GF just hit 3.4 content and wants to know what is Best in slot for WHM? I don't know much about healer gear so I'm trying to help her out.
Also, what are the most important stats for healer?
Thanks!

I don't know specifics, but WHM benefits from every stat more equally than the other healers. If she DPSes she'll want to stack Accuracy to about 590ish through relic and melds. Try to get gear that has piety over gear that has just det and another stat. For an offensive WHM build Crit=SS>Det.
any healers doesn't really have a BiS proably Sch more than any other job it depends if you dps alot when your main healing in raids or your a Det SS healer or a Crit SS healer it depends on what stats you like overall.
Crit > Det > SpS. Also ACC if she wants to raid heal and DPS, and PIE if she needs extra MP (I don't play WHM in raids so I can't say if she should need extra MP or not).
For a WHM I would recommend Piety > SS/Det > Acc > Crit ... WHM doesn't benefit from Crit as much as AST/SCH - most of the time it would be wasted as overheal.
To stimulate the discussion, this is the healing formula:

TLDR (except for WD and MND) Crit is King, Det and SS are about equal.
Piety and Acc are also no brainers for raiding.
in term of global raw healing boost, crit may be the best, but in the actual facts, it isnt for WHM/Diurnal AST.
if you go just by numbers, as if it was dpsing, crit would be best, but most of the time, as WHM, you want to know how much your spell will do, and not hope it will crit.
Any crit happening will most likely go into overheal for a good chunck of it, while boosting det will enhance permanently every heal without the rng of crit. It may be a stat that has a lower stat weight, but it goes perfectly fine with the WHM gameplay, which rely heavily on knowing the fight and knowing how much you have to/want to heal. (on the opposite of SCH and Noct AST that doesnt really care, having most of their heal with half the potency gone into shield, countering the overheal).
On the other hand, as i said, dps-wise, the crit is king. (after the accuracy cap ofc).
personal thoughts are
crit/ss > det for an offensive build, hanging around in cleric as long as possible
det/ss > crit for a defensive build
i wont rely on crit for healing – even if it may look fantastic if you throw out a 14k vitra but well yeah... u know?
ss on the other hand is way underestimated by most of the community, it really can save the day taking care of f.e
tank busters and stuff or if you have to solo heal cause the 2nd healer is kissing the ground for whatever reason.
Crit also keeps your regens ticking harder on average, which does help how often you have to dip back into cleric stance. Crit really is the God Stat for every class, behind only primary attributes.
If someone in the healer community is handy with math, you can actually reverse engineer the formula to find the stat weights for healing output. I did some extremely rough math for the healers in my static and it was something like:
7.68WD = 431 det =78 MND= 120 Crit (roughly, I'm not even sure if this is correct)
bear in mind, this was using the highest Magic damage values for Midas. The weights will vary a little due to every secondary scaling multiplicatively with Magic Damage (i.e. the stat weights are different depending on if ur talking ilevel 240 vs 270 BiS)
