Gunblade

When are we going to get gunblade? I know a few people including myself that really want to see this implemented onto the game.

we get to see it in opening cs :( I want one! making it purchasable with seals only would be a good idea, and maybe after attaining a certain faction rank.

Hmm..I don't know, I like that it pretty much falls in line with how more advanced the Garlean empire is.

then why do they need us adventurers.

didnt you know?

they're gunna make a huge barrier around and over each city so when they attack us adventurers get mutilated into an even harder to penetrate barrier thu sprotecting the cities.

seriously, the gunblade would make a nice weapon for beating the garlean "boss"

Guys. Limsa Limpoopoo has a guild for them, remember? AND Yoshi-P SAID that we're going to see some form of the gun eventually, since that whole part of LL will get put to use eventually. DUR.

I'd rather have a Swallow, Hammer or Boomerang

Make it the Blue Mage only weapon.... seriously.. I'm not even joking...

i don't want gunhalbred, i want gunblade. and eventually doesn't cut it. so far there is no mention anymore about it in roadmap to 2.0 so we won't see it for another 1~2 years? when it was brought up a year ago?

lol blue mage would be cool. but not as cool as if they did it for redmage or Bard

Yoshida has said it maaaaaaaaaaany times; no more melee classes until we get more mages. So stop asking for samurais, vikings, gunblades and other melee classes because it's not happening anytime soon.

Gunblade on BLU... An interesting notion, and a creative solution to the fact that GLA presumably gets all the scimitars...

Come to think of it, Blue Mage was called Gun Mage in FFX-2, so it's not too far of a stretch to combine the two. I think it could be very interesting, indeed. I vote Gunblade goes to Blue Mage.

On another note, I don't think people should be expecting new classes with new weapons to be implemented until the first real expansion at least. How often do MMO's release whole new classes just on their own? Jobs are extensions of the current classes, so they don't count. They may already have guilds for Musketeer, Arcanist, etc, but I don't think that means they're going to release them outside of a real, concrete expansion.

i'd expect to see another mage class or 2 by 2.0 to even out the balance between melee and mage tbh

how about knuckles with intergrated micro-missile launchers, no less than 300 missiles per salvo, or maybe a bow with access to a satellite-based railgun, firing hyperkinetic penetrators, capable of destroying entire fortresses from orbit?

hell just give my Kitty a Gatling Javelin.....

it can shoot 100 javelins a second ;p


so lets see, Shotgun Lance and Gatling Javelin, all I would need is a set of Jet Wings and my Dragoon would be set ^.^

i would like a gunblade class, could be cool.

Seconded on a Gunblade class, I'd love to see it happen.

And if it does, make it a DD class, please.

Here is an idea. For Gunblades, if you love pressing 1111111 over and over, the 1 key can be the trigger! booya!

i don't have many wishes for ARR, but a job with a gunblade would be awesome.
of all the Final Fantasy series i think it was one of the coolest weapons.
(and imo better than a harp-bow)

wow this thread from 2011... I dont think we gonna see it for a long while. We have arcanist and sum coming out, and from the mention of the jobs after that though i cant find the quote but i do not think they where jobs for the gunblade. I know we have the musketeer guild but even that I think is a ways off and do not think they will be the ones to weild it.

Limsa has the Musketeers guild, who use normal pistols and rifles. Yoshi said we'd get Musketeer, but he never said anything about gunblades.

EDIT: Wow, this thread is old. Disregard! Though I am absolutely dying for Musketeer.
