Patch is up

Just wanted to let people know. Currently there is a error though so no point in trying now :D

Too be honest I could do that and it would take me less than an hour but I'm not bothered lol

Quite a few people including myself just get this error and cannot download the patch (borrowed image from a reddit post) http://puu.sh/rplkh/117ec1dc6e.png

I really don't wanna have to reinstall the entire game just to get a darn patch. That's just weird.

EDIT: Restarted the game twice and the error disappeared.

Update is now done and installed already. :)

Oh thank gawd it isn't just me, I was starting to /panic.

i'm getting this error too and there is no way in hell im going to delete the game to reinstall it and miss the apartments

Ok it just updated my launcher and its downloading the patch now. Keep trying guys! =3 (though I still expect some emergency maintenance at some point lol).

It's fixed. Just updated launcher and currently downloading. ;D

It's working now.

1.5Gb download on PC

First you need your launcher updated, afaik, hence the error.

I think it's just the download that's up - it won't be live for another two hours. (Unless that's what you were referring to. I'm really tired and I can't think straight :D)

this happen many times before an is always the same solution:
PC
step 1-run launcher as administrator
step 2-go back to sleep

PS4
Step 1-go to Library
step2-locate FFXIV launcher Icon
step3-go back to sleep

Working now, I just waited 10 mins. :3

Its downloading for me. I logged in, installed the first tiny patch then got the error, I pressed ok and it completed that download.
I restarted the client, logged in again and now its processing the long download that actually shows the progress.

With each ward and every additional subdivision having a full apartment complex with 90 units, plus Grand Company rank requirements to get one, I don't think you have to worry about them being taken up so fast.
My download is done, wasn't so bad.

Thank you for this! I kept getting the error too, this fixed it for me as well \o/

Currently downloading the patch on the PS4. 1.2 GB West Coast NA

Logged in, downloaded patch no problem. Now to wait for the servers to come back and then... the queues... dear God the queues...

The hardest boss. Queues and broken server hubs!

any time you see the Error popup when there is an update going on like this, it a good way of finding out if the patch update is about to start.. been like this for 3 years. just wait 5-10min and it will be up

Just to reiterate, in case anyone missed the Twitter post from SE:

Servers will *not* come online early for this patch. They will be available at the already listed time (11:00 BST).

What fixed it for me was going into "my games > FFXIV" and deleting the content inside the "downloads" folder.

I'll post pics in a while in a new thread.
