Bard question

How come we have no stun? and when we use blunt arrow it hardly ever silences anything other than the lower tier mobs?
I don't want to sing I want to deal damage and help with silencing and stunning am I missing something?

I believe MCH have a stun. Playing the wrong class if you don't want to sing :P

But singing is the best part about being a Bard. Who has ever heard of a bard that doesn't sing and recite poetry?

as a bard you'll have to sing a little bit. Why do you want a stun so bad? Play DRG if you want to stun.

In 2.x, there were a TON of Bards who wouldn't sing in order to keep high dps. Only song they knew was Requiem lol...

As a NIN, what if I didn't want to use Mudras, Goad, or Trick Attack?
As a PLD, what if I didn't want to maintain aggro?
As a WHM, what if I wanted to only spam Cure, and not other healing spells?

If you're not going to sing, you might as well stay Archer (don't equip your Stone).

As a bard, you just have to sing.. its our role, and one we should be happy to provide.

Our silence is very... situational, and I feel like SE forgot it exists. Off hand.. I can really only think of 1 or 2.. instances where it is needed. Most cases, stuns become the tank's job.

Think of your teammates DPS as your own. Yes on paper the mage is getting a boost in dps and you are not.. BUT.. that extra dps comes from your song not him. Which is why parser's can't really be trusted.

Is your DPS lower at the end cause you needed to pop mages ballad? Who cares.. if your mages ballad saved the raid.. that's all that matters.

I want to say sing.. but.. no don't sing. It just makes the actual proper bards look better.
