i think they are putting all the con and thm spells in a bucket and redistributing them. thm may get the elements to go with BLM. also they said there would be new actions which means we arent even gonna keep 15. were keeping 15-what ever new actions we get. i wish they wouldn't do this til jobs came out. to wait 2-3 months with a limited number of actions might be tough. esp with the moogle battle coming.

thats 14 there and thats the basic skill set in my opinion. thats not including any ws absorb or abilities. a bunch of these will prob be moved to black mage i presume.

thats what i said its the basic spell list not including anything else. Most of these spells are staples which means they wont get rid of them. So tht means that they will move some to BLM. There are also several WS which we dont even need, and some skills the 2 best being exhalation and blood rite
so lets say they keep 9 spells, 2 ws, and 4 actions. that would be my guess
THM is going to get mostly damaging spells like nukes, but jobs are for party and class can be used in solo, so i would be surprised if they keep some healing spells. in my opinion
The way I see it, THM isn't going to be getting a "BLM Arsenal" so to say just because they're the one to become Black Mage. That's just me though.Quote:

Because if they count as separated actions whoever have the elemental nukes is screwed...6 nukes + 6 AMs + 6 elemental DoTs = 18.
I don't think THM or CNJ will be getting/keeping the Elemental Nukes. Instead I believe SE is going to pull them until patch 1.21 when the Black Mage Job comes out. I realize THM is the class that will Unlock BLM but that being said, THM is NOT a Black Mage....it's a Thaumaturge. THM/CNJ will retain an identity that is separate from the Job it unlocks...albeit, related to the job.
Because of this, I think THM can expect to keep:
Scourge and Banish and Shadowsear as their DD spells (3)
Sacrifice and Drain as their Healing Spells (2)
MP syphon and/or Stygian Spikes (1 maybe 2)
Poison, Dia, Bio, as their DOT's (3)
as to Debuffs the most likely to remain THM are Gravity, Slow, and Paralyze, but I expect THM to keep 3-4 of their current list of these. (3-4)
1 WS or Magical ability that works as such. (1)
Also, SE will probably make sure that each class gets at least 1 brand new skill.
I have no idea. o.O I was hoping they were releasing jobs at the same time ;~; Hopefully we get some traditional nukes...
I was thinking what if they slip scourge and banish, give banish to conj, or maybe dia even. That leaves more rooms for dots/enfeebles. I'd love if they either got rid of blind and bind, or boosted its efficiency.
If I had to venture a guess, I guess they would keep spells and abilities they have already adjusted in previous patches. I doubt they would go through the effort of fixing a spell, only to remove it.
