Constant Error 90006

Getting consistently dc'd from FFXIV with error 90006, roughly once every 3-5 minutes. Other internet applications (Discord chat/voice, Overwatch, browser, etc.) have no latency or disconnections. Currently using AT&T phone tether.

try setting yourself to /busy and then report back here.

Have it set to busy now, but this issue was also happening while instanced in Palace of the Dead, so it might not be the issue with tells.

Update: Still happens.

Having the same issue here. Very sporadic connection between 3-10 minutes. 90006 error each time but can reconnect after a minute or so. Networking gear and workstation have been restarted and game reinstalled once. No other networked programs seem impacted.

Additional information: During disconnect, sending but not receiving packets; other party members report seeing actions and movement, but nothing happens on client. Reconnect happens more quickly than with usual disconnects.

Potentially more chance of disconnect during instances; for example, happens more often in dungeons and Idyllshire than in housing areas or Quarrymill.

im having the same issue to i'll still be in teamspeak but ill keep getting constantly dced ever 5-10mins and sometime i wont be able to log back into my character and get dced from lobby it start a week ago doing this

As of 11:06 CST, it hasn't disconnected; not sure if it's over, or just a late-late-night issue.

After checking with two connections, issue currently seems to be over. Still not sure why.

Still getting constant 90002 error dc's here, and its been close to 2 months now. Whatever u tried to fix last week has not worked. Its clear thats its soemthing from ur end and not mine, and that fucks it all up for about 2 min b4 it works again, can we have a fucking fix for this by now pls enough is enough. I se eposts about this even bk in 2015 so its not somehting new but happening to random ppl all the time.... It only happens when i have the game running, and it then effects my browsning/streaming connection also right after for those said 2 min b4 everything starts working again and i can log bk in. When i dc in the game it also kills browsing, raidio stations, video streaming fucks up also, but only for about 2 min then it works again. Clearly soemthing is effecting the game combined with internet connection overall, and is related to internet providers etc. Fix this now b4 u force me to quit the game, or let us play for free until this is sorted,which would be the right thing to do.

Having the same issue with error 90006. It's completely random and happens every 5 mins or so. Nothing else affected and I can log after a few minutes.

constant have the same problem, but in my case I have noticed that always happens when you enter The Goblet, I began to have this error with the patch 3.3 and has since been repeated, not even when Square Enix will do something about it

Seems it happens most times when I enter a very populated city. Probably an error due to loading characters? It's happening constantly on Limsa Lominsa but out in the field it never happens.

Had this error 3 times in the last 30 minutes tonight. Internet connection is fine--can still speak with party/FC members in discord with no issues or disconnects. Happened once in PotD, then again in Quarrymill, and once more outside of Camp Dragonhead.

This has been happening to me as well. Started yesterday and is getting worse. As long as I hang around the FC house I seem to be fine, but as soon as I enter battle or an instance I get the error. I've noticed that the game stops receiving for some reason. I've checked all my settings and reset the internet so fairly sure it's not on my side.

Same here. I have been getting this as well, perhaps a little less than mentioned, but it does happen. Sometimes even just standing in The Goblet by the Summoning Bell, and also, quite often in Raids.

For me it started on Saturday. It's Monday night and I still can't play. Log in, get kicked out with the 90006 error, over and over again. It is friggin ridiculous, and it seems SE couldn't care squat.

Happened just about 2 minutes before I started typing this message. It would be nice to get some fix for this, I mean...Unless of course SE prefers players to have a bad experience with the game.

Starting today after reset, i log in, play few minutes then all freeze, unfreeze, freeze, DC Error 90006 Repeat.
Also Lodestone loading badly, rest of the internet loading without problems, also other online games work perfectly.
Please Fix ASAP, game time runs out :/

Still having the same issue. It happens only on Moogle server, I can play in others without issue, but it seems Square couldn't care less about our problem...

Well, at least I'm not the only person having this issue. I've gone through every possible fix I can think of and even some off the wall ones. The issue is NOT on my end, not my ISP, not my equipment and the above posters confirm this. I just started playing FF again (XI was the last I played) and as much as I am truly enjoying (when I'm not getting dc'd) the game it's silly for me to pay for something that I can't stay connected to.

At least in my case. I was having the same problems as you all and after a while it seems it's solved for me. So this is what i made and, appearently solved the issue (3 days playing non-stop in all data centers and no disconnections at all):

I had to format my computer anyway so this step was being done FF issue or not. However, I was using Windows 8 and, for a change, I decided to switch it to Windows 7.

I then reinstalled the game.

Last, i realized that to play i was using the 5ghz network (faster for downloads but as i've heard more susceptible to lag because it's not as strong as the 2.4ghz) so I switch to 2.4ghz when I play. All these together solved the problem in my case.

So I guess you could try them to see if the problem is solved by itself.

Im having issues as well. I have toons on Leviathan and Diablos (Primal Data Center) and i have not a clue as to what is going on. I get lagged no matter where i end up going in the server and THIS is making the game borderline unplayable! I cant even run ANY dungeons/instances/raids without lagging to death! Same thing happens on both of my characters. Just the other day I tried logging into my main on Diablos and i have gotten d/ced from the LOADING screen!!!! WE all pay to play on this game and deserve to have a relative good experience! I have been lagged before but for 1 1/2 days now?? This is really getting absurd! Yes I done all the usual things: Restart the router, shut down the console, restart the console, test my internet connection. My PC and other games on the Ps4 play just fine! PLEASE LOOK INTO THIS SE!

Just started to happen to me (two times within an hour)...what the heck is happening (I know what the error means, but...why isn't it fixed?) My internet is fine, everything else is working as it should, I'm playing via PS4 and it's working as it should (WIRED CONNECTION), and yet I'm getting connection errors...it can't be on my end.

Been having a lot of 90006 errors this week. The only time it was due to my Internet was a couple hours yesterday during a storm. But it's not storming now, and I have already had this error 3 times tonight. Seeing increased latency in duties as well. Very annoying.

It's the entirety of Aether Data Center having issues. 3 of my friends on Cactuar just got booted.

Not sure what is going on. Just standing in Iydllshire, and poof. Getting the the lobby error now (2002). I'm sad :(

I'm on Cactuar and also can't connect; sometimes I can't even connect to the Data Center, other times I'm booted out while loading up the world from the Character Select screen with a 10102 error.
