So when will these queues finally be fixed?

I don't understand after all the complaining people have done untill now, these queues still aren't fixed/logical. It's so frustarting to see friends get multiple games while you're still waiting for your 1st game. Why is this still not fixed after all the complaining people do. (Frontlines)

What's wrong with them?

The queues are extremely random. People get multiple games while you're still waiting for your first game. You can be in queue for 50 minutes without a game while others get a pop after 5 minutes of waititng.

............You mean mentor roulette? that's literally the only roulette I can think of that would have that possible outcome. Anyway I never have that problem. Maybe its the language setting you have?

Nope this is with pvp queues, especially frontlines. The queues are so random and unfair. And language doesn't matter I think, since it puts everyone from the data center together regardless of language.

First: Could you mention what ques were taking long, i knew you were talking about frontlines, but still...
Second: The Frontline ques will be fixed when they remove grand company paring, yet they STILL havnt done this...

That's not the reason. SE already wrote the lore of Front Lines out of the game way back in patch 3.0-3.2, and they already said in interviews that lore is not the reason they aren't taking GC restrictions out of the game. If I remember correctly, they said something along the lines of being worried about "moral degradation" within the PvP community. They're worried about people exploiting a non-GC restricted set up, win trading, and spying on enemy teams. The thing is, no one is buying this crap as a real reason either. If SE thinks that the Front Line community isn't already as morally degraded as it can possibly get, then they're blind, stupid, or just plain unable to face reality. Things like spying and win trading are already being done, regardless of GC restrictions, so it's not a valid reason to leave this garbage system in place.

Personally, I think the real reason is that they're lazy. If they removed GC restrictions, they'd have to make a lot of serious changes to the game. Matchmaking and PvP achievements, for example, would have to be adjusted to accommodate a non-GC specific game mode. It would seem that making those adjustments is more work than SE is willing to put in.

Actually, SE believes that the players actually enjoy the GC vs GC "rivalry". They're clueless tbh. No one who actually cares about PvP would care about this fake rivalry more than having actual pops.

They're also supposedly worried about "spies". Kind of silly to be honest, it's not like it's ranked...

Well here on Chaos only Shatter pops lately, with seal rock and slaughter/secure popping rarely. But that doesn't matter. Queues have always been random and unfair for every mode.

Manual que is usually faster than using roulette, there is still something wrong with roulette as it can make ques twice as long than they really are. You can also get stuck in "limbo" where que becomes unending untill you withdraw, to prevent this i never wait more than 35min in que if no pop durning that time i just re-que and its not uncommon to get insta pop after this.

This is incorrect. It will only set you on all Languages if you queue Feast. If you are queueing Frontlines, you only queue in English only.

Same with Aether, and honestly, seems like anymore people only do pvp till they get what they want, I know I do, no other reason to do it anymore.

Well I do frontlines multiple times daily, sometimes even spend the day doing frontlines. It's the only thing I enjoy doing when I don't nee to farm/level something. And there are a lot of people who do the same, it's just annoying how unfair and random these queues are. Seeing your friends of the same gc get multiple games while you don't get any really makes me frustrated. And yes requeueg after a while helps.... But that also makes you completely restart the queue so you might have to wait for the people who queued before you to get in a game and finish it until it's over. Then after that (if the queue system works fine and logical) you should get a pop. But no, what happens a lot is that people who just got out of the match get in the second match without you getting in.

Happens a lot to me too, not always but a saturday night I had 2 matches in about 3hrs... and I saw my GC mate keep going in, and not as a preformed.
So yes fix this damned queue.

FL queues have been more or less dead/impossible to get into on Behemoth for ages. Most of the more serious PVPers left for Aether, making it even worse here. I really wish they would make the queue match across all data centres, making it region based instead (US/EU/JP). This would dramatically increase the potential pool of players for queues

He means all NA datacenters would match together, all JP datacenters would match together, and all EU datacenters would match together. Like Primal and Aether would pop together. I don't think he is stating JP should pop with NA. Just creating regional supersets.

I like the idea of the regional supersets for FL queues but in reality it's complex to do since they way data centres are already structured. Since they are all completely seperate from each other you'd have to combine them into one big data centre or do something that can link them together for this specific purpose. The cross-server party finder is small stuff compared to a cross-data-centre FL queue.

It would be nice, but actually there is only 1 EU datacenter (if I'm not wrong), anyway I think this should be done atleast for all the NA / JP datacenter.

Yes, but I think this could be the hint to cross-data-center queue for all contents, it will be a great addition to the game and should be something to look for.
You can't just sit on something decent, because as the time goes on, this method will become aged, obviously it's not something that I hope to be in the upcoming patch, but I hope they will work in this direction.

I think the bigger issue is just how unwelcoming the PVP community is to newcomers. It's not a very large community to begin with, but we'd all rather newbies didn't queue up for PVP in the first place (or at least not wind up in our parties) and adamantly oppose adding any more incentives (In fact the general consensus seems to be for removing the existing incentives)

Yoshida said he didn't want to remove the fc restrictions due to moral degradation. I say to heck with that answer PvP is and will always be a dangerous zone. We're already degrading each other removing the restrictions won't make us less degrading to each other.

I don't think that's the general consensus, that's just me being angry at people when they try to cover poor design with rewards like Diadem tried to do when it first came out and don't understand what kind of incentives they actually set.

You're far from the only person clamoring for them to remove any and all PVE rewards :P

Patchnotes are out, nothing about any mm changes. Here's hoping that it'll be an undocumented change (though I really don't think so...).

Time to oil up I guess until 4.0.

Yeah I was hoping for something regarding this...or just the old modes in general but again, they are only pre notes so maybe full...semi doubting it though.

The full notes doesn't change much from the pre-lim notes other then adding items, equipments, crafting.

All they have to do to fix queues is remove the stupid grand company restrictions. I don't get why they are so stubborn.

Can't they make an event "We are all friends" like, making the DR: Frontline work regardless of GC,
to see if it will fix the queue, if it cause insolvable / handable issues.
