I'm personally going to go the Sultana's Breath, the Windmill looks extremely cute.

Lily Hills looks like a prison...

I'm kinda bored with beach theme so I'll take the apartment at the Lavender Beds. 2nd choice maybe The Goblet.

So people owning a personal house are able to buy an apartment too. Hmm...

"Each apartment building can house up to 90 tenants"

Shouldn't it be 512?

Exactly my thoughts...

My prediction at patch day: All apartments will be sold out within a few hours. Party Finder will be full with "Want so sell apartment for 2 million gil".

How many apartments do we get? 90 per ward? 270 in total?

I kind of like the look of all of them.
I've always wanted a house in the Lavender Beds.

But, I use the FC house and I have a shared estate with a friend. And I'm always out adventuring anyway. I feel like I'd never even go to my house or apartment if I had one.

There are two of three plots in Lavender Beds that I really like though. Unless they magically open up, I won't be getting anything.

unless my maths is wrong with 90 aprtments over 13 wards and the sub-wards over 3 areas thats about 7,000 apartments per server.

on the less populated servers that is fine but on balmung that is likely to be eaten up in under 20 mins of the servers coming up

This doesn't make any sense to me. We already have problems with alts snagging houses so most likely they'll snag apartments too then resell for 5x as much.

I wish it was just one house or apartment per server or per account..

Each housing ward and it's subdivision will get a building, so 6480 apartment rooms in total.

Should be enough for most servers I'd say.
Except Balmung. But th housing problem on there is pretty much a lost cause, with the community being just as much at fault for it as SE is.

And remember, trying to sell houses for huge profit is reportable

So, is the ability to rent a specific appartment tied to the affilation to the according GC or does having on of these ranks enable one to rent any appartment?

No they're not tied to the GCs at all, just like normal housing isn't.

Even though we already have housing, this issue still bothers me as we were stuck without housing for a good while.

1. Why is SE making the same mistakes by allowing people with housing to buy more housing? It should be:

• 1 House OR Apartment + FC/FC Room per account & per server.

2. 90? What happened to 512? Why did they advertise with a number they are not able to keep up?

3. Why not include it in the demolition? It's not like there will be an abundance with their newly calculated availability....

Because numbers they advertise with housing is always lied.

Remember when personal houses were suppose to be an affordable 800k and be in their own wards separate from FC housing? That never happened either.

The 512 number came from January's Live Letter iirc.

That was 8 months ago, they probably just couldn't do it

Perfect. The people who bought multiple houses on their alts can now buy multiple apartments on their alts too.

No demolition? Cool. So even if I can't keep up my subscription I know i will have a permanent place. Glad I'm not on Balmung.

At the time they probabably intended that, but since then (over half a year later?) they must have changed their minds, maybe because of a technical reason that came up since they started on it.

Or maybe they're just planning on continually increasing that number from 90 up to 512 with each patch?

Report them, did it whith a guy who then got sent to the Gaol (dn't know if he lost his house after that)
I'll also suggest to contact those selling on reddit cause we know they all make their deal there and then, when contacted in game, report them with screen as evidence.

People continued to report 512 based on the Letter from the Producer Live XXVI Digest (from January). There wasn't an actual number on the slides of the 3 year anniversary live letter.

In one of the streams Yoshie-P mentioned that one RMT moron tried selling him gil. :D Sure knew how to pick em.

Sounds harsh, but 'WTB'ers should be punished with the exact same punishments as sellers, since they create the demand in the first place.
And it should be a 'no matter what, accountwide loss of all non FC residence including assets inside' on top of any other punishment.

No they did not.

During markos/Mr happy's translation, someone mentioned that they heard 512 from an interview somewhere, so they added it on the live translation and mentioned it was from an interview.

In reality, that number was only from January's live letter.

Does anyone know if apartments are going to be any bigger than FC rooms?

Somewhat surprised we haven't seen the interior yet. Hope it's a lot more than an inn room or FC room.

Same here. If it's the same size I will just get a FC room. Cheaper. :P Also hope we can have a small fish tank in FC rooms. Finally a small use for my fisher.

Well the big advantage of an Apartment so far is the Chocobo Stable. Whether or not they'll add gardening at some point remains to be seen. If the apartments are limited to 92 per unit I'm somewhat surprised they're letting home owners buy any.

Taken from the OP's link. So yeah, you can have in an FC room as well. It's furniture, they've not really restricted furniture from houses and rooms yet.

Another advantage is: In an FC house, you can get kicked out of the FC, and all inside the room goes into the blender. They are actually letting those who CBA to watch for their estate get off easy, with the returning of stuff.....

I hope those that still haven't had a chance to get any form of home are able to do so this time round!! GL to all :)

Apartments hopefully will be more then 1 room.... (a box is not creative or impressive ^^)

Do we not have enough restrictions regarding furniture as is?
Please increase item limit asap and remove these silly restrictions. Its getting very old. ty O.o

SE should make apartments account wide.
You can only buy one apartment per account.
All your characters on that server can access the apartment.
New apartments in different areas can be bought but you lose the original apartment.

This will keep the supply and demand in check and stop players from buying an apartment for multiple characters, so more people have a shot at having an apartment.

I'm personally giving up my house IF I manage to snag an apartment. Give up as in no I'm not charging someone for me to give up the deed for them. My house is a medium and generally too big for me anyway.

Of course there's the issue of having to move my furniture so... yeah...
