UK O2 Campaign

Wow that sucks, literally everyone from where I am is either on EE or Vodaphone. These campaigns keep getting worse :(

The items are not original though - they're the same items that were included with the '7/11' maid/butler costume promotion that had a convoluted way of gaining in the UK. So I guess this probably is to test an alternative to getting the maid/butler costume for UK players, given how problematic that event was handled (maybe if this is successful the maid/butler attire will also be given a similar promotion). But that's just my own idea so take from that what you will.

Bit of a slap in the face to those who bought the magazines too. They had to pay what? £20? per magazine and you only got 1 mask per mag.

The O2 campaign doesn't include the maid/butler outfits or the mount.

Granted there's no mount or outfits but what there is still cost at least £10 to those who bought the magazines. The fact there's stuff missing isn't a green light in my opinion.

I may be able to get hold of an extra code of anybody would like. If you have bought the magazines and used those codes you will not be able to double up with these.

That's not how it works, SE doesn't give the items for free to 02 customers. Essentially, being being a part of 02 priority allows you to gain exclusives for free (not just xiv stuff, but other discounts, vouchers, promos, and competitions), so essentially that £10 is still being paid, but is subsidized by 02.

The thing is, the mentality of the real world allows for exclusive free stuff that would otherwise be paid for because it makes the service more appealing, it is only on XIV where this fact is different (not saying the entire campaign isn't poorly managed, just saying that the 02 campaign itself has no problems).

Found out the o2 codes are time limited, you get about 30mins or something in order to enter them before they become invalid :s
