Gatherers may see some new additions. Yoshida may consider allowing dairy farming and breeding as new gatherer jobs.

Yoshida almost slipped through the amount of jobs 4.0 will have (It's related to the Moonfaire Faire)

Wet effects may be implemented. Still under consideration. (Correction: The question that was asked was "Having a body drenched on what is thrown at them e.g. bombs, paint balls and so on". Yoshida joked that if they wanted that they should have played Splatoon for this. And remarked further that while that is possible, it can be complicated to calculate how body parts will be wet and drenched when hit by something (in other words, the hit point calculation). But for example if the body turns wet from having bucket filled with water is splashed on the character then it'll be possible to implement)

FC ranking will see no cap release for now. Maybe for 4.0? Still uncertain.

In game birthday event is an idea that Yoshida would like to work on.

Hilda may see more appearance from now on

Yoshida is trying to see if multiple people mounts can be implemented. The concern is the way it's implemented. Like how the amount of people sitting on a mount can affect other unwanted factors.

When asking why Yoshida likes Lalafell. "Because it's tiny, cute and due to its size you can sit on your friends lap"

When asking about Au Ra's place of origin and village. Yoshida mentions that all of these, including their names and lore setting will be included into the lore book. Yoshida mentions nothing beyond that.

When asked about whether it's possible to save the hairstyle in the hairstylist menu. Yoshida mentioned that it's in works.

FC actions will be added in the future. Or at least it's heading towards that direction.

On having the dye preview to be accessible through chat window or market board. Yoshida mentioned that it's in the works right now. This also applies to furniture dyes too.

When we say Jobs are we claiming battle jobs or just new all together cus if were getting new gatherers, wouldn't that be counted as a new one too? I mean I wont argue with 3 jobs and new DoL/DoH but better safe before cheering.

I considered the colors representing the primary color of the new jobs, but it was only said that the Moonfaire Faire hints the amount of jobs, not what the jobs are.

I've said it pretty much since the beginning; The next new gathering class should be Shepard... The fact that I have to slaughter those cute little sheep for wool, when it should be entirely possible just to sheer them, irritates me... More so after the Ixali daily quests pretty much had a quest in which you get some sheers and use them on a mob... A Shepard class could essentially take the crappy drop rates out of farming various materials... Milk a Yak for Yak Milk, raid an Okeanis nest for their eggs... Much better than relying on those horrible drop rates...

My guess is three. Red, black, and yellow out clues.

Red: Red Mage
Black: Samurai (see: common costumes)
Yellow: Chemist (healer, see: FFV sprites)

So, if we consider that the gatherer is confirmed, that would leave 2 DoW/DoM jobs.

My guess would be, due to the large amounts of DPS in game already, there will be a healer and a tank.

Samurai would be tank for sure because for some stupid reason sword= tank.

It sounds as if new gatherers are still currently not set in stone and are only being considered so far. If he "almost" said how many jobs 4.0 will have then I'm guessing that's including the jobs they know they're releasing for sure.

I may be reading too much into the wording of the translation, but I get the feeling that any additions to DoL will be afterthoughts, especially if they are freely discussing them and not keeping them a big secret like DoW/M jobs.

I was only trying to put it as a possibility. In the end, nothing is confirmed at this point and we could also go completely crazy and get 6 jobs (6 poses, 2 for each book) but mind you that I REALLY doubt this is possible.

In the end, everything we interpret here is speculation and we might miss something very obvious in the event. Personally, it would be awesome to have a sword class that is NOT a tank (Ninja daggers don't count). If not, we have enough DPS classes tbh.

In either case, I don't care much about new combat classes (no matter the role) as they usually take 6+ month to work SOMEWHAT properly anyway. Gatherers though, I would LOVE dairy farming/herding/breeding! Bring it on! I have all others maxed already!

I'm the polar opposite - I have all but one combat job maxed on ONE character and then a few other characters with one or two combat jobs maxed each.
My cumulative gatherer level across all characters doesn't even reach 50 for one class >.>

My problem is that I prefer to not be in the face of the mobs, which obviously limits class choice. I also don't like the concept of bard and machinist so those are out too (couldn't stand bard longer than lvl 24).I have a few alts as well but got tired of the gating.
I recently finished getting DRK to 60 nd believe I will not level any other melee classes. I am therefore done and only have 3 more crafters to max.

Anyway, going OT I suppose.

I vote 1 gatherer + combat classes!

since yoshida keep under strick silence the information about new jobs, i doubt he will have said they think to add new gatherer for add one in the expansion.

I think the bit about the Moonfire Fair was how many jobs there would be, not what they were (unfortunately)

So we can hopefully look forward to 3 jobs in the expansion.

It's probably going to be the same as it was in Heavensward: 1 DPS, 1 Tank, and 1 healer. Thus three jobs.

i hope they will not add a tank before have a solid concept that will bring something new... because bring a tank without make it really different it will be sad.

If the colours are significant I would think yellow might be Dancer instead. It would make a lot of sense to get DNC in Ala Mhigo. This would also mean we might be getting our first DoW healer and DoM tank.

Doesn't exactly have to be something new, even if its just a new flavor on what we have can spark interest in people who didn't like how a previous class played.

I would not object to Samurai being the new healing class. 'I shall heal you with my blade!' I can just see doing that and then charging at the person your healing running the sword through them for a 'critical heal'. And yes I realize that is most likely not going to happen but I find it too amusing picturing it. That would also through everyone off nicely.
