3.4 Main Scenario and Coil

So the last live letter revealed that a part of 3.4 Main Scenario will be affected if the player did or did not complete Binding Coil Storyline.

Do you think it is just small dialogue on certain characters or will it focus more on Alisaie and her character more since she goes through a character development in the Binding Coil storyline from unlikable character phase into likable character phase but if players did not go through the Binding Coil she never developed as a character and thus remain her more unlikable version pre-Binding Coil.

It's probably something as minor as a few dialogue changes. Same as 1.0 legacy WoL dialogue and those who started at 2.0?

From the screenshot preview it looks like Alisaie is making her way into the MSQ and since she and Alphinaud had some stuff go on in Final Coil, I assume there will be some minor dialogue to reflect it.

Same as the minor "we are fellow azure dragoon" type dialogue if you did DRG 50 when Estinien came back during that patch.

It's likely a few lines of extra dialog between her and Alphinaud, nothing that would affect the main story or her character.

Just based off Tales from the Dragonsong War you can tell her journey through the realm after coil is now canon to the main story regardless if the player has done it or not, but they will likely still avoid to spoil what happens in t12 if the player didn't do it yet.

I'm gonna guess that just a few lines are changed/added/removed to make sense to the player's progress.

I'm expecting minor dialogue acknowledging that you haven't seen her since coil and a bit about what her journey has been like since then.
Players that skipped Coil haven't seen her since....the memorial service speeches I think? I don't remember her being particularly unlikable, just frustrated that the leaders seemed to be all talk and not actually doing anything to improve the situation. And I don't think she even spoke to the player character outside of the coil quests either.

before binding coil story ending she was a bit stubbern and tried to take on the burden to save the world by herself and only ask the WoL for help because she believe WoL was the only one capable of helping her. If Alphinaud was not there at the FInal Coil she would have gotten herself killed due to her own stubberness to carry the burden of their grandfather alone. Basically being the opposite of what her brother did through the 2.X Main Scenario who tried to save the world by uniting people together.

Of course both siblings learn their methods to achieve their goals were wrong in the end of their story.

Probably gonna be just something simple as "Oh, bahamut still resides below" vs "He has been defeated already?". I don't even recall the story cus it was so far back but I can't imagine it being anything worthy of panic. I'd assume some would like to keep it uncleared just to see both sides that will eventually be posted.

I never found her as annoying as her brother.

We also weren't around her for most of the story and watched her grow from being a spoiled brat with way too much leverage to actually trying to be a decent person and use said leverage with proper forethought. Character development!

I'm really not expecting it to go any deeper than what they did for Dragoons in HW or legacy players in ARR, either. A nice acknowledgement, but nothing that need heavy rewrites to keep things cannon.

I always liked Alisaie more than most others because in my eyes she was one of the few people to actually directly tackle the problem and not just "gramps ded, forget him" that sorta thing. Annoying? Definitely not. Someone actually venturing inside the dangers to find out the truth, that's just my style.

She should change her outfit into something more lady-like.

Do we have to beat all of coil or only certain parts?

probably just turn 13 imo

I think the quests only require T5, 9, and 13.

I think it's worth trying out all of the turns though.
