Inaccurate Tank Damage in SSS

Let me start this off by saying I'm aware that this complaint is about as nit-picky as belly-aching that your pompadour has split ends, but here it goes.

Currently, tank DPS in Stone Sea and Sky is not as high as it could be due to the lack of riposte-like damage abilities such as Shield Swipe, Vengeance, Low Blow, and Reprisal. These abilities play a large role in a tank's tool kit and have an (albeit small but noticeable) impact on the play style of many tanks.

Implementing a small 1-damage physical auto-attack on the dummy would make it possible for tanks to take advantage of these abilities and achieve more realistic parses.

I also wanted to add that I'm not making this post from a place of struggling with the dummy. This is just a thought I had and I wanted to hear some more opinions on it. I enjoy maximizing my damage and getting faster kills and I thought this would be an avenue of achieving that.

It's one of the reasons why the tank dummies Heath is lower on these dummies outside of the obvious this class is this. If you could trigger these abilities then the dummy's health would be higher to compensate.

The dummies each have different health depending on what class you go in as and are based on not being able to use those triggered abilities

Good point. I never thought of that. I wouldn't mind a higher HP pool if it meant I could do more accurate rotation, but then there would be a discrepancy between tanks because a lot of those reactive abilities are better than others. I suppose I come from a place of bias because I do main DRK at the moment.

All dummies should do 1 DMG atleast even the ones you can place on your house, DRK for example cant train their rotation on dummies because of this(gg blood price).

One thing to consider is that the dummies are there for OT rotation checking not MT rotation checking. The riposte actions are not triggered if you are not MTing so factoring them in would just inflate damage.

Huh? He means if you're OT, you're not the one getting attacked and so wouldn't have access to "riposte" actions, so if SSS dummy attacked, it'd inflate OT "parse". What exactly would need to be proven?

Not entirely true about ot/mt. Pop shelltron during double rocket punch in m4 will proc a shield swipe as ot. Haven't noticed anywhere else so it might be an isolated instance.

Anything that hits physical can be parried and pop nutshot/riposte on DRK, and probably PLD. Off the top of my head: Double Rocket punch, Seph EX's tower tankbuster, Nidhogg landing. Basically if it hits you for physical damage you can parry/block it and potentially get something to proc off it. When Seph EX was relevent I used to pop DD+Awareness for Jumps to try and get reprisal off if I was OT.

An issue I had, was testing Blood Price on DRK, but I cant do it on dummies, due to a lack of being hit to gain MP. (For testing out my limits on MP uses)

Somewhat unrelated, but I'd like to see a type of dummy that could use a weak auto-attack to trigger certain actions or work with certain abilities. I was trying to help a friend with Dark Knight tanking by showing him what I do. At level 60 live targets tend to die too quick (plus it's hard to pull large packs in open world), but dummies don't auto-attack so it's hard to show off how effective Blood Price is.
