I'm just wondering if the entire thing will be conducted in japanese and if there will be a translator there for us that don't speak it.

It says Yoshida's interactions with callers and players are going to be in Japanese only, but it doesn't say about the rest.

I think only the stuff with asterisks will be Japanese only.

I can bet the Live Letter will have stuff i already knew about before they even announce anything.

And from 5 in the morning to 7 pm for many Europeans..I feel tempted but at the same time, I'll be way too tired to watch and I doubt anyone will do live translations for that long, so...

Hmm I was pretty sure least the live letter would have a english translator (expected all the rest would be japanese) but I guess it japanese only also so guess the 3 year anniversary stream stuff is only for people that speak japenese. No point and watching any of the stream then I guess.

There's usually some players who live translate for other people. I know Mr Happy used to do it, but I'm not sure if they are for this one, can't hurt to keep an eye out though.

Conspiracy alert! Maybe now we know why FFXV was delayed. So it wouldn't compete with patch 3.4 only 3 days before it's old release date. Now 3.4 will be old news by time FFXV releases and FFXV will occupy the gap before the next patch. Hmmmm.....

That Paladin and BLM gear for the new tomes looks nice. Not a fan of what the lala wore. I guess that was Monk?

Diadem confirmed DOA yet again.

Odin statue comes with zantetsuken emote 12800 yen or about $125 dollars. Seems sort of expensive, looks like you can pre order after fanfest but they don't ship until December.

Yuna and Tidus fanfest outfits confirmed. I wonder if you can wear both or they are gender specific.

They also try to time their patches along side Dragon Quest 10. So FF14 gets a patch, then DQ gets a patch a bit later so they don't interfere with another...

Anyone care to share/show vids and pics from the live letter :^) ?

Coming in 3.4: two new faceroll expert dungeons, a new Allagan Tomestone currency with a ridiculous identifier and a 450/week cap, and the final wing of the Alexander raid, complete with armchair raiders commenting on it's overt amount of/lack of difficulty despite not actually setting foot in there themselves; more at 11.

Holy shit, at last!

I'm interested to learn about the platoon/squadron feature, like the kind of content you'll be allowed to do with them, what kind of limitations it'll have, the kinds of rewards you'll get for using them etc.

But most importantly to me, will be able to select the race/gender/appearance for our squadmates, because I really want to have an army of fashionable soldiers.

Did they mention the ilvl of the new tome gear? Based on the info it seems safe to say this is the last tome gear cycle for 3.x until the new expac.

Yea hopefully the next announcement gives more details of platoons

...am I just super dense, or am I correct in failing to see any way that the resetting of cooldowns upon a wipe can be abused???

EDIT'S UGLY WINGMAN: their "Diadem revamp" was really just adding higher ilevel garbage to it? Whaaaaat.

No, but SE is always predictable. It'll likely go...

Dungeon gear: ilvl 245
Crafted gear: ilvl 250 (This we know)
Tomestone gear: ilvl 260
Raid gear: ilvl 270

And yes, I think this will be the last set we see until the expansion.

They postponed the revamp to 3.5 because it would have delayed 3.4 otherwise.
