I don't think the FULL notes are up yet... but this... I can see both the good and bad to it.

Good, helps those who were put off by the amount required to upgrade their anima... on the downside, those crafters who made gil from making these items are gonna be hit hard...

Only temporarily, the market will shift and they'll find a new market to profit from.

Those are the full notes, it is only a minor patch to adjust the relic aquisition and lore weapon adjustment.

Anyone else notice that the moogle beast tribe is t is the adjustment section for purchasing anima pieces? Did they forget or are they going to be at 18 tokens just for this 1 tribe still?

It's still equal with vanu vanu and gnath because both same trade-in in 2 days.

Huh, they halved the amount of unidentifiables neededfor eachitem and made the crated tokens available. I;m surprised

(BTW that is 80000 seals total for one weapon, might be 9-10 days for the Beastman method if you do ARR tribes)

Well, i knew i should have waited with upgrading my 3rd Anima, would have been much cheaper by now.

I don´t shed much tears for crafters, as they mad good gil with it up til now, and will with something else in the future.

Standing with 240/230/230 now, i could consider doing another one, as this nerf comes close to a blowout sale for anima.

i could, as the FATE Step inst nerfed, and i have no nerves for fategrinding... they really could have nerved that as well to increased drop and lesser item per area needed....

/edit/PS Pterodacytl is still needed for ohter crafts, so don´t be too sorry.

Woooooooo at last! Now I can make the 7 weapons I miss (well, at least till 230 step). Thansk a lot \o/

I wish they would be more transparent with relic weapon update/nerf schedules. I got all my marketboard items recently cause it seemed like the nerf was very slow coming this time around. Millions of gil thrown away with a patch just around the corner. I'm angry but honestly I've learned my lesson. Not touching relics anymore untill the whole fking thing is nerfed.

We found out last week that changes were coming and I'm amazed they even told us that much.

They can't give us much more of a headsup because more people wouldn't bother at all and would just wait until changes had been made.

P.S. I traded in my 80 items and 16 HQ crafted items a day before we found out. Wish I had known earlier, but that's just how it is.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with providing an anima update/nerf schedule beforehand. Impatient people will still do it. Patient people will still wait. I literally had the gil for the longest time and have been "waiting" for this patch just to complete my first relic.

Doesn't matter though, like I said. I walked away from this learning my lesson.

Yeah Scott, I just helped an FC mate by crafting all 16 items for him, like a day before we found out about the nerf. Took me an hour or two... But now would take like 10 minutes, lol.

Oh wow this will make Relic easier :)

Oh and the items from GC are HQ?
If NQ would make no sense i suppose but sure will cut into profit of the crafters out there

It's been 8 months since 3.15, at which point should they have told us "oh btw we're going to change this step on X date" ?

They already get people complaining there's nothing to do (or rather nothing those people *want* to do...) they're sure as heck not going to give people even more persuasion not to do something (because if you wait 3/4 of a year it'll be a lot easier, that's bound to tempt some people as it's a guarantee instead of a guess)

They should have an update/nerf schedule on the release of the first step. People having nothing to "do" is completely irrelevant. Hiding a nerf step till a week beforehand is nothing short of antagonizing people who were being patient but wanting to be able to do relevant content. They can weigh up their options and pick a choice that is right for them instead of being in the dark. I would have gotten the gears weapon had I known this patch would have been this far out and spent all my gil on relevant crafting class upgrades. Rightly so it is guaranteed, that is the point of a "schedule".

Well that is your opinion and I'll respect that even though I disagree because I just don't think we need to know that information that far in advance. Relics are always long term quests in their initial form and anyone doing one in full should know that by now and be prepared for it.

Urgh, I REALLY can't make up my mind if I'm happy or super salty..
I guess it's nice I can finally get better weapons for my non-main classes...and upgrade the weapons of my mains..
And a friend who is coming back to the game next week can easily catch up now :)

But..this throws my entire plan out the window .-.
Bought the wrong upgrade last week and thought I could just get it this week. But now I'll spend 2 weeks of farthings on weapon upgrades x.x
Like...if they gave us SO MUCH NERF, why not let up on the "only one farthing per week" thing too? xD

I'm a special snowflake for wishing there was an actual schedule for relics instead of this haphazard nerfing without even any indicators of "what" is being nerfed? I love this community, no need to be one of SE's shining white knights.

I've never been one of SE's shinning knights. In fact I've bashed SE alot and will continue to do so when I see BS. The same however applies to the community and when I see again some BS, in this case your posts with demanding schedules, after SE even told you that a nerf is coming is just absurd. Call it what you want, I don't care.

FYI as they nerfed the 2x relics to the ground, you have gotten no warning, it was done over night and to be honest people lost a bit more than just 2-6 million compared to this nerf.

I never once demanded a schedule unless you call "wishing" demanding in which case I blame public education systems. I even stated that I learned my lesson. There was a long quit for me during the 2.0 relic questline in which I came back and everything was nerfed for it already so I didn't get to experience that questline nearly as much as I got to on this one. Of course I'm going to feel much more strongly towards this one because of that and drop an opinion or two. I'm sorry you thought it was "BS".

I can see how bashing someone just because you think they are spouting BS is productive though. Hell, I wasnt even bashing SE, I was just giving my opinion but I'll try bashing next time. Productivity and all that.

They won't because they want to be flexible so they can react based on data of how many players are progressing through each step. That way it's easier to gauge when to nerf and by how much. Having a set schedule just limits their own flexibility when it's unnecessary in this case.

The turn in that takes the crafted and unidentified no longer requires HQ.

Too bad for them. I was waiting for this, no way I was dishing out millions for the items needed. Tying the relic to crafted items was a mistake in the first place.

Oh i agree i was just saying. Previous Relic also required crafted items, they did not learn i guess :/

You don't need a schedule to figure out there be a nerf eventually to relic weapon steps, all you have to do is look at prior patches to figure this out. Now if your a person who can wait it out you just saved allot of time and gil.

I finished this relic step pre-nerf and the changes don't bother me.

I think I spent around 5 million gil getting the hq crafted items. I'm glad people working on the relic now won't need to spend as much.

Except the reason that it wasnt expensive at all in the past months (no spec required etc). It was pretty cheap before if you had a friend which can craft. IMO its pretty pointless anyways to wait for nerfs since the weapon will always be irrelevant then.

You could say all gear will be invalidated at this point, so why get so worked up over it?

u arent a new player , u know how things work in FFXIV already , nerf were announced long time ago.

SE never put patch notes until servers are down , and for sure will not announce specific changes to avoid ppl manipulating the MB before hand....is already a huge issue in NA/EU side

crafting mats were one of the most hated things in this step. it was almost announced.
