Next Event could be...

With everyone here all asking for impossible events for FFXIV... am i the only one that thinks the next event should be something something related to Square Enix? Like Yokai Watch, Dragon Quest were?

So my idea is actualy take one famous game, or in this case, two, for an Event since it works along with pararel worlds and time travel.

Have you guessed already? No?

Bravely Default and Bravely Second

The outfits from the characters there could be very good additions to the game, for example, Magnolia's main Outfit and her Lunar Glaive.

One Yokai Watch is current event.
Two Yokai Watch is not related to SE.

Why? These events don't happen for the sake of it. The dev team have never requested a crossover event, it has always been outside sources (including SE HQ) that ask for the crossover events. Unless SE wants to market bravely default/second by using XIV as a tool for that, it's not happening in my eyes.

At least it's a better idea than Digimon or Pokemon

They should just cancel all future events until they can come up with something that doesn't involve FATES!

Mobius Final Fantasy Event is probably the most possible event to happen in FF14.

The Morbius Wol even has a Lore reason why he can appear in FF14 being how he can travel into other FF Worlds.

He been in FF7 world and even FF13 world fighting along side Cloud and even Lightning.

They can even have a FF14 event for Mobius FF at the same time as this event as well. Thus allowing them to introduce some new Job Cards based on FF14 characters such as a Y'shtola Job Card for a Mage Type Job, Gaius Job Card for the Warrior Type, Yda Job Card for Monk Type Job, and a Thancred Job Card for Ranger Type Card.

Agreed, but from the developers standpoint it is equally as unviable. SE needs to build it into their marketing strategy for it to become a thing and that is not up to Yoshi P or the dev team (and honestly SE main HQ won't listen to our requests when it comes to things like this). All previous events except the XIII events have had direct ties to Yoshi P himself, which is why they were able to happen, the XIII one came about because Yoshi P was able to talk to the director of XIII at a convention and the idea came about and XIII-3 was being marketed. There are stories behind all of the crossovers which are far more than "it would be cool to do", most of the less obvious ones are purely by chance.

FFXIII lightning returns - marketing for XIII-3, came about by chance through a discussion at I believe gamescom (could be E3)?
Dragon Quest X - Anniversary of the game, Yoshi P was part of the Dragon Quest X development team (wikipedia has him listed as designer, other sources say other things), and the director of other dragon quest games, which was a big influence.
FFXI shantotto event - I believe 10th anniversary of the game. As the direct predecessor of XIV, many players came from XI, and the dev team know this.
FFXI seekers event - Celebrates the final expansion of XI, the "death" of the game, and almost acts as XIs legacy being passed on to XIV.
Yo-kai watch - Marketing for Yokai Watch 3, came about through an informal discussion over drinks between Yoshi P and his good friend Akihiro Hino

Well, yes. The company has the IP, not the FFXIV team. It'd be like helping yourself to the cash register when you work as a cashier; a big no-no.

No more events, we're likely not going to get the PSO2 cross over. They just need to focus on using in house products for these events, and not just Final Fantasy products either, rework their deal with DreamFactory and get Ehrgiez, Tobal, and The Bouncer events going, granted they were published by Square.

Level 5 develops some of Square Enix's games, but they are not part of them. When people think of Level 5, they think of Dragon Quest, hence people think they are part of Square Enix. Yokai Watch was developed by Level 5 and published by Nintendo.

On-topic:

I love to see Bravely series to have a event in FFXIV, but I think its to late, since these events are used as advertisement to the main game that is being released. The next cross-over event should be FFXV and if we are lucky Kingdom Hearts 3, but for the latter, I am not sure if we are going to get a event, since disney has a stake in it aswell.

Almost forgot...

If they do a Mobius Final Fantasy event then have Garland Armor set as part of the Event's vanity reward since we want more Heavy Armor vanity sets that can be used by all jobs. Not to mention it is not a bad looking armor.

If they do do anything, it might be for the FF15 launch like they did with FF13

The Rising event should start this month. it will be about FF XIV.

FF15 is likely to be the next crossover event and that'll probably be at some point in September.

Or we could get the Dues ex crossover since SE owns it

Yeah if anything the next event is The Rising and then who knows, the rising is basically all but confirmed by word from them at this point with the anniversary posts and all but if they follow the same path (they will lets be honest here) then it's coming.
