Triad card question

Has anyone recently gotten a Zidane card from the gold packs? I know RNG can be a brutal thing(believe me, i know) but last night i burned through just under 750k worth of MGP without seeing one. A few months back i went through just over 200k on the same packs, putting my total expenses on this particular project at almost 1 million MGP. Ive gotten the warrior of light, and dozens of everything else(multiple stacks of a few of them). So has anyone seen this guy recently? And yes, in case you were wondering, 4 total warrior of light between the 2 sessions. So i did at least get 1 out of 2.

I have in fact got Zidane from the gold pack. Not like super recently but I was pretty stoked when it happened. Now I just need Warrior of Light from that pack. Wanna switch rng's? ^_^

^_^ my rng is also good for atma, anima crystals and legendary medal grinding. on the other hand it is terrible for fishing, farming ponies from ex primals, and aquapolis. (rng giveth and taketh away >_<)

I have been tracking how many packs I've opened, and so far it's been 512, which is just over 1.1 million MGP. I've managed 0 Zidane and 2 WoL. The drop rate on these cards is abysmal. Like sub .2% each.

You are Frightening me lol, i've just bought Cloud and i already got Fenrir, there is no way that i will spend another million on WoL !

Well I finally got Zidane at pack 664. Keeping track of it all, it seems like there is about a ~.6% chance at getting a 5* card. Which means if the drop rates are the same, Zidane and WoL both have a ~.3% drop rate individually. So, the point where it becomes more likely than not that you get a specific 5* card would be 231 packs. You might get lucky, you might get unlucky. Either way, you're expected to drop around 500k mgp to get the card you're looking for based on these rates.

I have every card to date except Nidhogg (152/153), so I can confirm that it does indeed come from a Gold Triad Card, albeit at a low chance like you said.
80 runs of the Aery and 10 clears of the trial and still no Nidhogg Card. I WILL GET YOU ONE DAY!

By the way guys, what do you think of the update for Triple Triad ? Will we be able to finally fight in a tournament regularly without any cheat ?

Still be cheaters as you dont have to fight in the DF but atleast those who dont cheat have a chance to get in the top of the triple triad tournament with challenge ppl on the DF not just spam npcs for low points. I got zidane and warrior of light with just 350k mpg but could not get cloud of darkness card regardless of over 20 runs until they nerf the card drop.

i have spent 1,4 mio MGP on those gold boosters. 4 Warrior of Light, no Zidane...

Unfortunately we can't challenge people for tournament matchs with the duty finder they just made...

I got my first, and second Zidane at 1.7 million MGP spent on packs. Warrior of Light was at 600k and 1.4 million.

So happy I don't have to buy any more and can work on other MGP rewards.

I find it stupid to have a DF triple triad, and not use it for tournament purposes.

Yeah... this is the stupidest things they ever did about triple triad. We don't really care about fighting each others casually, we can do that when we want. But we do want a way to fight for tournaments without people being able to cheat... and they're not gonna give us that since gold saucer exist...

Congrats, maybe 1.7 million is the cutoff point where the game just gives it to you, or we both had the exact same super terrible luck

The trick is to get really angry and curse and moan and complain in every chat channel available to you and really mean it the entire time, and you illusive items will drop. Not being sarcastic in any way has seriously worked every time for me.

I'm at about 650,000 MGP spent with 5(!) WoL and no Zidane.
Not as bad as some of the stories here but man is WoL starting to tick me off.

Is there any talk about fixing the cancer of the drop rates on WoL and Zidane? I literally just burnt through 200 packs and got nothing but the usual garbage cards from it.

you can open 50 packs per week just by doing some challenge logs, wheres the problem?

you dont even have to grind to get it sooner or later, just have some patience

and some luck. i’ve got 3 zidanes and 1 wol from around 60 packs.

Burned through 100+ packs to see a WoL, I think I'll start editing a post every few weeks tracking how many junk cards I get on my road to Zidane -2017.

Sep 10th was a pretty good day really, getting 3x 5-star cards out of 124 packs. Funny thing I only got 1 Cid out of this days' packs

I'm at nearly 1M MGP spent on Gold Packs, 3 Zidane but still no WoL. He's become my white whale - so far still enjoying the chase!

Personally, those days are behind me, but I spent well over a million MGP on gold packs, as well, to obtain both Zidane and Warrior of Light. I obtained Zidane rather "quickly", maybe not even 200k MGP spent, but Warrior of Light took a long, loooong time. But look at the bright side. You get more MGP when selling cards now, so you get a lot more MGP back!

I wish they would just add them to the Platinum packs

At least that way I'd have a better chance of winning them because tourneys as I consistently get second and third-place most the tim

Luckily on my server we do not have people win trading for top ratings however it would be nice if we could do cross server triple Triad tournaments where the winners of those would win something higher than a platinum pack

I've been having terrible luck with hob I have 276 wins and no card

Update: So tonight i found myself with about 1.1 million MGP and some time on my hands, so i decided to chase zidane again. I was buying gold packs in stacks of 10, and i FINALLY got him on number 173. Thats another 375k tossed on to the millionish i burned between the first two sessions. Then because i was on a "hot" streak, i decided to finally get the imperial cards from that set. 151 imperial packs later(another 325k), i got all 6 cards. Net cost for todays hunt after subtracting what i got for selling all the extras was 628400 mgp. At least i now have all the pack only cards.

Gotten 2 Zidane's and 0 WoL. Been buying packs like crazy. Just recently reached a Million MGP for Cloud and I'm starting to wonder if I should have bought Gold packs until I got the WoL.
