Ultimate Troll Thread: Share Your Anger!

After what I went through today, I decided to start a thread for everyone in the forums to vent about various troll experiences. So I will start with a 2 for 1 deal today.

First off, this morning before going to work, I decided to send an alt of mine that I had started over the weekend to Tam Tara (Normal). It's a Level 16 dungeon but apparently for our healer, they were too much of a crybaby and said right away that they were not going to play the dungeon and quit on the spot. Suffice it to say, those of us who were left offered some very scathing comments about the healer, which included cursing, questioning of gender and stereotyping Americans.

Then just 10 minutes ago, I was on one of my stronger alts and was trying to do Trial Roulette. We got Final Steps of Faith, which did seem not all that bad until I saw the numbers on the OT. It was a WAR who for some ridiculous reason was not wearing Tank accessories. He was wearing DPS accessories and because of that, he was actually weaker than all but one DPS. So not surprisingly, he couldn't hold aggro to save his life and we wiped with ease at the 3 adds phase. With such a paper tank, we knew we couldn't win, so we all left his sorry excuse for a tank behind.

Sounds more like you just wanted to vent; you should look for the Tales from the Duty Finder thread.

I went to do the moonfire fair event on one of my characters the other night....
Got to the bombs, went to start autoattacking one and someone kills it!



I immiedatly went to rectify the problem.

I dismissed my chocobo so he couldn't kill any more of them.

I was trying to do the third Moonfire quest too, but my incredible power was too much even if I used my puniest moves and I was crushing those bombs just like the tomatoes they so cheekily resemble. :(

I mean, I wasn't actually trying to troll but the whole bunch of people who also wanted to do the quest probably thought I was. :( :( :(

Did someone point that out? I gotta admit after taking a short break, I didn't get or read the memo either about Vit gear. Joined a dungeon and it still wasn't a problem since I was clearly over geared, but the healer asked me why im still wearing STR gear and I apologized. Maybe that was the case here too, then again, you mentioned that he was OT so it don't matter what he was wearing, could have gone nakkid,afk the whole fight,or just do cannons lol

Balmung Possing Ranger even. WHile yes it was over crowded people made a line. Do random shouts with out explanation and kills bombs. Seriously same people organizing were killing mobs, outsmarted them still 15 min to do it, compare to 3 hours average wait time...yeah if it's not a rule at least get agreement from people. Too bad Square didn't fix problem till last Monday.

lols I need some coffee, thanks for pointing that out, somehow overlooked that it says final :) Question still is the same so, did someone point it out? Maybe it was just a mistake.

Well if you were not aware tanks used to use dps items until they made changes to this and now tanking accessories is better then it was. Perhaps that tank was unaware of the changes, was used to old habits, etc?

Yes I did point that out. I told them that they were going to fail and at the 3 adds phase that is what happened.

I love Shadewalker ability.

Had a sprinting DRK tank pull slimes to the unwitting PotD, and then keep them out of range of the melee until they exploded.

Had a SCH who refused to heal even once because I had Clemency anyways. I would have been fine with that if not for the recent str/vit rebalance nerfing my Clemency output by 20+% and wasn't consistently Bane-ing DoTs anyways...

Had a group kick me on the last boss of a successful DF speedrun Wanderer's Palace HM. When they said "hey, sorry, but our friend needs his daily run real quick," I thought for sure that meant I'd have to replace. So naive. And butt-hurt.

I once had a monk who only spammed Touch of Death and nothing else on literally every mob. I'm not sure whether he was a troll or a broken bot.

im less inclined to think it was the tanks fault purely on the acc part, mainly because the only thing that tank accs would do for him is add more health. if he couldnt hold hate, easy solution would have been to attack the other one that MT is holding so he builds hate. if you guys were wiping to the 3 adds, its more likely to be dps not being good.

Except VIT now affects the attack power of a tank. Stacking STR gear is just nerfing your HP. If the tank can't survive the add hits, all that'll happen is the add will turn on the healer struggling to keep said STR tank alive, likely killing them, and then wrecking the DPS themselves afterwards.

Plus, there is an expectation that the tanks will grab the two seperate mobs (since the third is untankable).

Both VIT and STR have the same stat weight, .45, the only difference is that VIT adds health as well. Dps jewelry isn't going to affect his ability to function as a tank. The only thing it affects is his health. I was in M4N last night with another warrior. When we loaded in, we were both in Deliverance stance. I had 10k more HP than he did (I'm very geared). When he switched to Defiance for the adds he had zero issues picking them up, tanking, and mitigating.

It wasn't the jewelry. It was the person behind the keyboard/controller.

It's no wonder no one wants to tank in this game; the sense of know-it-all entitlement from the DPS community is vomit inducing. I am leveling up a DRK and use the Duty Finder to get EXP and sometimes gear, and the comments from DPS are just amazing. I just leave if they don't like how things are going. Better for everyone.

I think I recall at one time...

If you'd done a trial previously and placed your pet...
And then queued back into it, your pet would stillbe at the placed position.

Judging by how OP worded the topic, I half-assumed this was a collective of infamous trolls sharing their exploits. :P
