Moonfire Faire

Quite disappointed with this event (womp womp)

Was really hoping to see new yukatas and swimwear, but at least I can become part of the Ginyu Force now..

I was wondering when the "disappointed" thread was going to happen. Thanks for not letting us down.

While we're here, anyone know what helmet the Rangers are wearing? i've been combing through the MB for something like it, but I haven't stumbled on anything for all classes

I just wish I could have that elbst mount permanently. It looks much better than the Sahagin one.

It's a new event. It doesn't need repeat rewards from former years. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. Sorry but the one thing for sure is no matter what SE does it can't please everyone. Sorry it didn't meet your expectations.

Doesn't hurt to have a NPC vendor that sells the previous years rewards not like they haven't done it before instead of putting them in the cash shop. Also I already have previous year items, just talking about for people that do not.

It's a cool event with neat new rewards. Not having old ones there doesn't change that fact and expecting to see those already in the cash shop show back up in the event is expecting a bit much in my view.

Those items are added to the cash shop so people can buy them any time of the year, but it not too much for the players to want a NPC during w/e event it may to sell previous year rewards for gil during that time of the event and then after that well if person didn't it then it off to buying it at the cash shop.

Personally I'm glad they decided not to give us swinsuits this time. They gave 2-3 different sets with 3-4 different colors each year, so personally I think we have plenty of swinsuits.

They could do it but this event should stand on it's own. It shouldn't be called a fail because they don't. I've purchased items from past events before but those hadn't been added to the cash shop. If you're not happy about things being in the Cash Shop it's one thing but you're not going to see cash shop items in an event in world in my view.

And I'm happy they didn't do swimsuits or yukatas AGAIN, that we have something new. The event is nicely done in my view other than some of the issues people are having on high pop servers. I ran my main and an alt through the entire event this morning and had fun. I'll run my other two alts through it tomorrow.

I wish they also gave us those reskinned elbst mounts. Loving the colours.

I'm not saying for previous years items, I would of liked to see different variations/colours or traditional styled yukatas.

The new poses are great.

Well if that is what you were looking forward to, sorry you're disappointed. I've got plenty of swimsuits personally although I wouldn't turn down some new cute designs. What I would like to see them do is allow us to dye the ones we currently have. Perhaps next year they'll go back to another round of what you're interested in. I just thought this event was fun and I'm not unhappy with a change in the rewards.

I think they're pretty neat too. I wish we'd get more dances and emotes and let SE give us more craft able items for glamour instead. Be nice if they didn't make the mats so hard to get like with the current craft able moonfire outfit.

When in reality what they did was add just the useless previous consumables fireworks that no one uses ever. I don't even know why bother to add that line. It's not like people get super excited about those consumables in the first place, so it was just to cause hype and misunderstanding.

Only for those who were around for the event in past years. People who started playing their character after last years event will not have got any of them.

I was pretty super excited about the gil toss consumable from the GS event. I think the fireworks are fun, but I do agree that the line about additional items is misleading.

That had me a little perplexed myself when I saw they put previous event items in the mog station just before the event. Took me a couple minutes to figure out they meant the fireworks. :(

Wish they added a dyable mask like what the rangers used to the faire vendor.

And that's a shame, but lets be real.... why do people always expect old rewards for events that happened before they started playing to be made available to them? I don't, I'm fine with not being able to get items from old events, because I wasn't there, so why should I get them?

It something SE did in XI and I know that was different game.... but they also did it at start of 2.0, even last year moonfire event made the previous year items available so that would be the answer to your question.

Well at least it's not making us grind until we die (unless you want a lot of fireworks)
