Yo Kai Watch Event

What Yo Kai are you going to go for first? I'm going to get Blizzaria first. :)

Imma be getting them all anyway..not sure what one I'd get first.

Whisper & Venoct. I like ghosts!

Dark Knight for me first. But I will get all of them!! \o/

Oh nice event there. And two month to "catch 'em all" is great with that I should be able to at least catch all those I want plus their weapons.

You KNOW someone's gonna complain that they missed out and how the event should've been longer, be brought back, or put everything on the cash shop.

Don't like the weapons at all, so that saves me some time.

FATE grind? Guess I will be passing on this event. Already had enough of FATEs from Relic.

So... Getting the weapons is essentially the same deal as the Atma/Crystal grind.

Only one? Seriously that won't be enough. Make at least two.

Hopefully I can grind HW FATEs and level up some of my other classes, lol. I know I can level sync but ARR FATEs have done to exhaustion.

The BLM one first, then whm, then whichever. I'll try to collect them alll.

Wait... you DON'T think it is going to eventually go into the cash shop? I would think it's planned by this point.

Maybe if I'm real bored I'll do this but I've done plenty FATE grinds before, no thank you. I think the weapons look real dumb and wouldn't fit my character at all so my only reasons to do it would be completionism (and I've got plenty other stuff to do), and getting that weird mount.

Last year's Moonfire Faire started on the 11th of August, so it could still be on though with them releasing them Moonfire clothing as crafter glamour clothing I'm not 100% sure.

Unfortunately, only Lominsan, Gridanian & Uldan FATEs only.

3.35 had a shaved ice culinary recipe that's likely Moonfire related. So chances are Moonfire is still coming.

Well...this is disappointing. I've had enough of FATEs between the relic quests and old seasonal events like the Christmas one where we had to farm ice from the snowmen ones. And at least the old seasonal events that required FATEs added new temporary FATEs to the game.

The anniversary will give you a banner for your house by the way for those that wanna know.

This kind of fluff content doesnt interest me at all. I looked at the yo kai announcement page and after reading it thought to myself how I wished they would invest the dev time put into this, into meaningful in game content. This game has become so fluff centric (glamour, minions, etc) and for a 33 year old man, it has zero appeal to me. Im glad SE is trying to keep a constant push of something going on, something new, but this kind of content really alienates players like myself. People will tell me that I can just ignore it, and I know that, I just would love to see the time invested go to something meaningful.

I hope it has a tiny story at least I was hoping for a Lightning Returns type thing but I guess we won't be getting that. The minions are pretty cute so I can't wait to collect them! I find it funny though that they have to explain what a mount, minion, FATE( I guess somewhat reasonable) is like they really don't have faith in there player base. lol

Isn't it kinda sad that this crossover event will take far longer to complete than SE own events? xD'' Its sadly another fate grind but at least most of us wont be finished after two hours like most of the other events in this game so that is a plus for me. :)
And since I am a pet and mount collector I am really happy that I only have to grind for the pets and don't have to grind all the weapons too. I will not get this ugly summoner book >_>..maybe one for the scholar.

It's been done before though. For the first anniversary it was moonfire, anniversary, lightning returns, FFXI and DQX, as well as a couple things going on outside the game. It was pretty much a month of event after event after event. Was a lot of fun.

It could be that they're trying to draw new players in with the crossover and it's written for that intent?

Apparently after every weapon you need more and more tokens as well :/ saw it on reddit so not sure how true it is but keep that in mind!

Well gives me something to do for the next month or so while I am working. Mindless fate grinds while doing tech support. xD

This whole event is an aesthetic eyesore not to mention the fact that people are excited about being force fed fates again.

idk why, I'm so excited about this event. I've never heard about Yo-kai watch before but I really like it so far. The minions seem cute, the weapons look great!

I don't even mind the fate-ing for it (maybe because I haven't done any for ages as I usually go to dungeons) and hunting for medals in the overworld does kinda fit the whole theme - you equip your watch and go hunt for those medals - must be my collector's blood talking haha.

Also, really like how the website turned out, you can even check out their item descriptions and stuff like:
Shogunyan - This legendary warrior's armor smells faintly of tuna
or
Manjimutt (which is stupidly cute xD) - Half-human. Half-dog. All-mutt.
or
Jibanyan - He tends to take out his anger on passing vehicles. (bad kitty!)


As for the weapons, I might get the tank ones first - they look great. Also the BLM staff. Getting all of them of course ;P

I would like to say that please for the love of everything, make the weapons able to be stored in the armoire immediately instead of the usual wait for the next patch. Otherwise people's inventories everywhere will cry.

(I quite like the bow too, but the way it changes out of combat stance is rather... Ehhh...)
