I am having the same issue. Unable to complete version check [30410][30607][20457][410]
Same as well, Glad it's not just me.
Same thing here on PS4. Been waiting for hours and now that everyone's playing, I never got the patch to download and there's no way to download it manually or force it to download on ps4.
Hope they fix this soon
New player (returning from the 1.0 era) and I was in the lovely ARR less than a week before I ran into this error. Not exactly the best welcome back :p
I play on PS4, if that is relevant.
I read up on these forums for this issue. There were suggestions from when this happened to people for previous patches (disconnecting the internet, turning off the machine). Nothing has worked for me so far :(
I, too, am getting this error on PS4.
Regardless of resetting the PS4, complete turn off and on, and manually checking for an update: it says I have the latest version but still errors. Launching the game doesn't initiate a download.
Same issue, was having a great time yesterday before maintenance, tried logging back in just now and boom, unable to complete version check. And I renewed 4 days ago after being out for almost 2 years, and no way in hell am I redownloading 30GB of patches. Really hope this gets fixed soon.
Same issue here on PC. Frustrating. Even uninstalling the game won't let you continue when you select expansions to install. Please fix this SE.

Unable to perform version check. Version information is not consistent between FFXIV Boot, FFXIV Updater, and FFXIV Launcher. Please restart the game (don't work), if restarting the game does not solve the problem, attempt the following procedures:
1-Delete temporary internet files (done, don't work)
2-Disable or change your proxy server. (it's fine)
3-Reinstall Final Fantasy XIV. (F*** NO)

Can't log in either, on PS4. Tried almost every other suggestions, except reinstalling and it still isn't working.

It should work now, just got the pop up installer that updated the launcher and is now currently downloading / installing the latest patch (On PC)

Did it take since the updated time to wait/get it to launch?
I've even attempted to work with my router and still nothing.
I refuse to re-install until Square Enix tries to address this (Since it both is happening to many people on both console and pc, and re-installing doesn't always fix it).
Edit: it's note-worthy that my ps4, his ps4, and his pc won't work, yet it's not our router/internet.

Ok I fixed it. I yanked the internet cable out and hooked my PS4 to my phones Internet hotspot.
Opened the client and bam the launcher picked up the new patch download.
First time I've had issues downloading but seems it was something to do with the Internet.
Same as everyone else. =/ Reset internet and even re-installed. No luck.
i've tried downloading heavensward again and it made it work
funny how they tell you the problem is on your side when it's clearly an update bug, i hope no one reinstalled their game
Hey all! I just got some help through the Faerie FB page and it worked like a charm.
1.) Go to My Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn
2.) Open up FFXIV_BOOT.cfg in Notepad
3.) Change the line "BootVersionCheckMode" number from 0 to 1.
4.) Launch and you should be good to go!

Confirmed the above works since the boot version is the one that is screwed but apparently it won't check for updates and the launcher simply says 'lol no' to you. Lovely design right there.
Wait, it also hides in my documents? I've been going to the program files...
We want to play but SE doesn't care because they are doing nothing to fix this bug little disappointed
I don't know if it's relevant or not but when I tried to test my internet connection on ps4, it told me that psn was undergoing maintenance. Could be why we can't download the update.
Psn is not undergoing maintenance, at least not in North America in the past 4 hours.
I'm not getting that message. Plus, I think it's unrelated because there was no PSN maintenance yesterday and I tried to log into the game while it was down to see if the patch was available early and I got the same thing people are getting now. Same error message.
Orbo getting that error before 2AM PST was normal since the patch wasn't available for download but now that it is, we can't download it because their Patcher is awful and they're not fixing a thing.
Idk, normally if there's maint, it doesnt error me out - it just says I can't login due to maintenance. The error I've gotten today and yesterday are completely new to me.
I'm having the same problem on PS4. The Updater/Launcher won't download the newest version so when I get to the login screen and go to login it gives me the error. Hopefully they fix it soon, I've been trying every 15-20 minutes for the past 2 hours with no luck.
My internet connections are fine, PSN is working fine, it just won't start downloading the update for the Updater/Launcher when I start the game. Is there a way to download it on my computer and then load it onto the PS4, or am I just stuck playing the waiting game?
For the record there is a PSN update...in about nine hours that's expected to last hours.
I really, really, really hope they don't wait for the PSN to update before they do anything. This is my one day off to play this week :(

Found a way to force the patch !
go to : ..\Program Files (x86)\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\boot and open ffxivboot.ver in notepad or a text editor and change the last number to 0
What it should look like : 201x.xx.xx.0000.0001 - > 201x.xx.xx.0000.0000
Save & boot your game again its should patch your patcher back & force the patch too !
Looking enviously at all you people with your homebrewed solutions, none of which are possible on PS4 :(
I'm really not impressed with this. I'm still too new a player for the affected content to be relevant to me, I think. I just wanted to run around Gridania since I finally got there last night :(
Sadly for you, the new content is very relevant to you. Everyone starts at level 1 in the palace of the dead and with the same items. :( Having started only last month, I was really looking forward to enjoying new content first together with everyone who's been playing for a long time. Unfortunately I've been stuck for 6 and a half hours trying to get the game to patch.
