Well, we do already have some chest-armors with cloak attached to them, and haven't really seen anybody crying about them.

I want this, but I don't care if it's visible or not... I think the way capes currently tend to be tied to body gear is better, I just want a cape instead of a second ring... So sick of that second ring slot...

Au Ra horn-ears on every helmet ever. I don't think clipping is an issue. Not to mention long hairstlyes clipping through everything instead of being programmed to go over the gear instead of drooping over like a wet mop.

They can solve it like with the belts.
equipable capes with no graphic and armors designed with a cape on it. This way the armor will not clip through the cape (or the designers were lazy)
