Quick question, my wife is starting to get in to the game and I was wondering, how many characters can you have on 1 subscription? I see some people have a lot of alt characters, and I can see them paying another subscription fee for this? I know I could find out myself by just doing it but I'm not in a position to check atm.
Anyone know?

A standard subscription lets you create up to 8 characters.
Though if you plan on playing with your wife, she's better off getting her own account and subscription, since you cannot log into your account on more than one device at a time -

8 characters per server, with a maximum of i think 40 characters total? This requires a Standard subscription, as the Entry subscription only permits you make 1 character (not sure if it's 1 total or 1 per server).
Of important note though, is that you can only log into one character on the account at a time, if you wish to play together, she'll need another account of her own. -

Very good point! I don't suppose it would be possible to transfer an account later on? We've only got the 1 PC anyway, later on though who knows.
