Duty Roulette Level 60 "Dungeons"

For 3 weeks every single day I'm queing as tank for get some extra-gils. But until now the only dungeon I get (no matter how many times I skip it and deal with the 30 min penalty) The aetherochemical Research Facility over and over and over.

It's this a bug or what? Im really tired of waiting 30 minutes just for get the same dungeon.

Pharos Sirius Hard
The Antitower
The lost City of Amdapor Hard

I haven't be in any of those since the new patch.

...then RUN the dungeon if you dont want to wait 30 minutes? Roulette is roulette and sometimes you're just... "unlucky"... I'm happy when I get Aether - its the one with the highste eso-reward after all, thats also probably why people are running it.

And again... if you're tired of waiting dont leave the dungeon. You really earn this 30 minutes each time you do this

I'd imagine there's a lot of people specifically running that one now just for the esos.

It's your fault if you keep skipping out on it -- if you're all at its item level cap (which will be the case most of the time if you have no new players) it runs about as fast as the other dungeons anyway, and if you're not, chances are you have a new player, which means even more esos.

The only thing that really makes this dungeon take long is all the people who leave it for stupid reasons.

It gives the most ESO's so you are getting people who are spamming it non stop for their anima weapons once people start finishing it you will get it less

I don't queue up as Tank, only as Healer. And I get the Lost City of Amdapor (Hard) every time. I'm sick of it, wish it were the Aetherochemical Facility to be honest xD

Talk about not being informed about community meta... ARF is the "optimal" way to get eso for the relic step. Even doing a half dozen or so of them a day will make it possible to finish it in two weeks. Long story short, give it about two weeks and the majority of people will have finished the relic.

Longest i've ever had to wait on any of the daily roulettes on a tank job is about 10 mins max.Don't make up these lies about waiting 30 mins because nobody who mains tank is stupid enough to believe that.If it's for 24 man raid it's a different situation and a tank may genuinly have to wait 30 mins.But not for lvl 60 roulete.Most you probably been waiting is about 5 mins for it.It's not a hard dungeon to run either.Must have a rough life if you have time to run any other lvl 60 dungeon but can't spare an extra 5 mins at max to do aetherochemical Research Facility.You remind me of that customer in a supermarket who goes there at peak times to buy a loaf of bread and the complains about the queue

They're not waiting for the roulette to pop, they have to wait because they're getting locked out after bailing right at the start of the dungeon - the waiting time is entirely on them

I've pretty much dropped Level 60 Dungeon "roulette" out of my daily life since it's every single time "The Aetherochemical Research Facility".

I understand that it's fast Esoterics, but jeez.. doing it every single day, over and over.

I'm not the one who's mad.I've made some clear points.Nowhere have i 'raged* nor am i nerd.If useing a forum and talking about basic things makes me a nerd well i guess then you can call most players in this game or any other game nerds.I always found nerd a silly word and one that never achieved any real sense of insult or pride.

All I ever get is antitower, will trade you for aetherochemical research facility.

Until I get my relic done I want ARF in my roulette every single day, in between ARF runs of course =D

It really isn't that much longer, it only sorta is because the last boss is split into two encounters, but I can't argue with one less person bailing on a still-easy dungeon.

Have only had the ARF show up once so far, which was nice since it seems everyone but me gets it atleast twice per week while I usually got stuck with Neverreap half the week.

Might as well keep it that way for the entire 3.X life span as SE tends to make Eso manditory to progress with Anima Weapon. All Anima phase after phase 2 requires farming of Eso to obtain a required Anima Material for each phase with phase 3 considered the longest and more eso tome demanding of the current 5 phases.

Expect SE to make Eso tomes required for Anima phase 6 and phase 7 in 3.4 and 3.5. Please look forward to it.

Doubt it. Eso will be obsolete by then and Lore will be uncapped, followed by the new WTF Tomestone.

Its not a bug, everyone is running it for the 3.3 Anima weapon. The dungeon gives 150 Eso.

Eso reward for that dungeon got increased
People need many Eso for relic
More people do that dungeon to get Eso
The Roulette put you into that dungeon because the party get filled the fast.

I don't do the 60 roulette any longer because every time I went in it was the Aetherochemical Research Facility. Now I login, do EX roulette, Moogle quests, and then maybe run Hullbreaker Hard 5 or 6 times.

ARF is what, MAYBE ten minutes longer than the other Level 60 Roulette dungeons? Ten minutes, once per day, and you're choosing to take the 30 minute penalty to avoid it? Dear lord...

Well, at least we can be glad, now that you're not doing it, that you're no longer screwing over the poor DPS and healers that you've been abandoning.

Assuming we're comparing groups at, or at least relatively close, to each dungeon's item level cap (as well as groups equal in competency levels)... I'd say not even ten minutes. Probably closer to 3-5. Most of that extra duration is due to the last boss being two separate fights.

Hmh, kinda wish that Expert Roulette would have more dungeons in it, but seeing how Level 60 Dungeon has 7 possibilities and it's always ARF.. so mmyeah. :rolleyes:

Roulette 60 generally give me Aetherochemical Research Facility, sometimes Lost City of Amdapor (Hard). Rarely other thing.
Well, I only do without complaining.

Anyway, I already have 34 Umbrite, but only 16 Amber and some item bought with poetics. So whatever gives much or little Eso, farm Crystal Sand take more time for me.

Players that choose a ROULETTE .. and then quit because they didnt get what they wanted?!? .. for me is what is really annoying... especially being a tank.

People hate doing ARF day after day, do not complain this much doing final steps of faith day after day to get a clear....

ARF is 20-25 minutes each run, the other 60s are like 15-20. i don't mind getting it on roulette but no way am i specifically asking to do it. need more Brayflox Hard that can be done in under 15 minutes.

o.o I finish ARF in about 20 minutes at the latest, 16 at the earliest, compared to Antitower at 18 mins latest, 14 mins earliest.

I find it almost laughable how much harder it is to heal ARF than any other casual 60 content! On the first two pulls at least, I might actually have to step out of cleric stance. *Lalafell in the back faints*

The dungeon is fast and easy and a bonus first timer + 60 roulette + ARF = an esoteric wet dream. 6k more eso and I'll finally be able to do one synced with more than 354 base acc! (I hope relic stats don't disappear when syncing like materia.)

I think some people misunderstand the entire point of "roulettes".

The point of them (by design) is to fill the gaps in duty queues. If a healer and 2x DPS queue into -somerandomdungeon- but no tanks want to do the dungeon for 3 months, then they are stuck in queue for 3 months (an exaggeration of course, but I believe it was needed to get the point across). A roulette fills in that gap by offering the tank more rewards for clicking the "I don't care what dungeon I do" button.

If you want the bonus from a roulette, you have to accept that it may or may not be a duty that you were hoping for, as you will get the dungeon that's currently "in demand", so no it's not some bug - it's just in demand at the moment (as others have said, due to current Eso farm). If you don't want to do a dungeon in the roulette list, then maybe you should just queue up for -someotherdungeon- that you actually want to do, and accept that you won't get as high a reward?

roulette looks to see if anyone is queued for any dungeons in the pool, and then uses the roulette people to fill there parties. If no such parties, a party is formed with all ppl from the roulette and gives a random dungeon from the pool of available choices.

MANY MANY people are queueing for ARF because it is the most eso, and still only takes 20min or less so they farm it for ESO. if you dont want to do ARF, simply queue with 4 ppl for DR60, or dont do DR60

Well, now Roulette 60 gave me Aetherochemical Research Facility as usual xD

I also need Eso for upgrade my Relic of Bard (and started other for Ast). So all right. 260 Eso is nice o.o

Oh no it takes at most 25 minutes instead of 20 for this level 60 dungeon and get boatloads of Esos, which is really the main purpose of running the level 60 roulette ANYWAY, but I'm gonna drop group and crap on 3 other people's day because ???
