in the goblet
Yeah but that means transferring to a (no offense) dead server.
Yeah but you know
"Goblet sucks"
"better have no house than one at the Goblet"
"I want a house know ! just not in the Goblet"
People are so mean with that pretty zone :/ , with flowers in the garden, it's even more beautiful than Beds (less "to much")
The biggest issue in migrating is that you can only take 1M (not sure) with you, so even if there is still houses, you can't buy them :/
The low population. I like to walk through major cities and see people everywhere, this isn't a single player game.
If you're happy there, by all means stay put. But don't act like everyone would appreciate low-pop server life.
Also, most of my friends are role players. So I'm kinda stuck on Balmung.
Yeah its not an RP server and most of population seems to be end-gamers because Idyll is always crammed full while the major cities are kind of scarce (i wouldnt say empty, though.) I've been in Lamia for 2 years and I've never considered it dead or low pop, but thats just my perspective.
how does rp work?
Shortest answer: You communicate as if you were your character, an inhabitant of the setting that the game portrays, rather than as the person sitting at the keyboard.
There are longer answers, and various opinions over "right" and "wrong" ways to roleplay. But that's pretty much the gist of it. Balmung just happens to be the server that has drawn like-minded people in this respect.
it would seem fun for a little while but i would probably get tired of it
"The Goblet is the Getto" is what I hear said a lot on lamia. If you really want a house and can't wait, it shouldn't matter where it is at.
Lamia isn't a bad or dead server, it's just a quite server with a lot of crafters and people that stick to their FC or Raid Group. The last time I heard numbers for the server we were in the middle when it came to things like population and clears.
You want a real dead server, come to Mateus. =p
Last I saw, sometime last week, even in Mist, every new ward had at most two occupants. Every new ward in Goblet was still completely empty. I haven't checked Lavender Beds, but, probably similar.
I actually like The Goblet. Personally, I find Mist extremely overrated and it's my least preferred residential zone; Mist is fine on clear/fair weather, but the beach on fog? rain? clouds? Ugh... no thanks. On the other hand, I like the 2 other residential areas on any weather, Lavender beds on rainy nights is beautiful.
isnt rp for like really old people?
come to lamia everyone in dead servers please
If my only option was to purchase a plot in the Goblet, there is one plot that I wouldn't mind having. Plot 24, Ward 1. It's perfectly located where I can easily jump onto the roof, it's close to an aetherite and a market board. Sure it's a small lot, but it has its charm.
I wish it were possible to place outdoor furnishings on top of the roof.
1M per character give some to your alts etc.. also 100k for each retainer I believe, you can transfer all your characters on that server all at once. Plus you can buy goods that will sell for a good exchange rate on the new server, by poking around on an alt first or just load up on items that you KNOW you will be getting anyway.
There are a few things that are roof exclusive. For example my small house has a apkallu weather vane on top.
Also I think I know of the Goblet plot you are talking about. The one completely by itself with the aetheryte, bell and MB all within ten feet of the entrance? For a long time one of those plots was empty on my server and I nearly bought it because it is one of the most conveniently located spots in the game. Only issue is my FC house was literally around the corner so I ended up getting a great spot in Lavendar Beds instead.
