Anyone else feel like.....?

that they've wasted 24 bucks on Sleipnir?

Thats how i feel for not having a flying Sleipnir so far.

When is it getting updated?

Its my favourite mount by far.

How is it wasted when you bought it before hw was out? o.o

I feel I wasted my money the moment I summoned him for the first time and saw how stubby and disproportionate his legs are.

He came out when flight wasn't a thing yet. Nowhere did it say Sleipnir would be a flying mount when you purchased him. Unless you were ignorant about the mount details and purchased it after HW, then you knew full well you were paying that price for a land mount, nothing more.

How can it be a waste? There was no flying when it came out, nowhere did it say it was a flying mount. You got what you paid for, a ground mount.

I love my Sleipnir. I use it all the time when I am leveling my other jobs, doing treasure hunts, working on gathering etc.

Not a waste, as i was never foolish enough to have paid that much for a mount :p

Just for reference, i bought it when it first came out, but it hurts me to have to use other mounts in flying zones.

The mounts feels outdated, thats all.

I understand the price tag may not be justifiable to many but at the same time bashing the playerbase who made the purchase to begin with is kinda rude, don't you think?

It may be outdated like some of the other mounts, but at the time when you purchased it you were fine with paying the 24 dollars. If you didn't feel like you got your money's worth it isn't the fault of SE for not letting it fly. I do believe they said they'd eventually give it flight. I don't think its just as easy as people think. They have to come up with some reason for it to fly. Like Fenrir, they made it fly by freezing the air under its feet. The turtle.....I don't understand the turtle...but If they find an appropriate way to give Sleipnir flight in a way that fits it and can be done by the game, its not unreasonable to think they'd eventually make it happen.

And no where did it say that the tank mounts, fenrir and tortoise would fly but now they are. Asking for a paid mount to fly doesn't seem that big of a deal. I don't really see what the issue is?

Same thing can be said about Fenrir. Nothing said that Fenrir would be a flying mount. It also came out before HW. (Released in patch 2.51.)
But since people kept whining on the forums about how they felt robbed that they had to spend all that MGP for it and it didn't even fly.

So there is no reason that Sleipnir would not be able to fly now.

Because like I said....they have to find a way for sleipnir to fly that is appropriate. The other mounts were obtainable with MGP..and in game currency. People paying 24 dollars are likely to complain if SE makes sleipnir fly in a way that those who purchased him with real currency wouldn't like. It's highly likely they are just trying to be careful with it.

I wonder how a bear, lion and couerl will have an appropriate way of flying? People jumping on others for asking for Sleipnir to fly is not really justifiable anymore I'm sorry.

Am I jumping on them for wanting them to fly? I believe I was explaining to them what the hold up would have been for Sleinir not flying. Last I was aware, the bear, lion and couerl weren't flying mounts unless something changed.

I didn't mean you as jumping on them just people in general sorry if that seem focused on you. But yea they will be flying in the next patch I think Yoshi said. Ill try to find a source.

I wasn't so much sad about Sleipnir not flying as I was that he didn't look like this

Edit: If people would complain how HOW sleipnir would fly, they are just stupid. There are limits on how spoiled one can be.

I think they said they was going to make it a priority to make Sleipnr fly in the Live Letter summary I read.

theres no such thing was right or wrong, there is the option which will accomodate to the most, and theres the option that will make those angry.

Not trying to summon the forum judges on playerbase income, i just want my Sleipnir to fly.

I think he's cute - reminds me of a short fat irl pony I used to know. Not very majestic true, but cute.
It will be nice to have him fly, however I spend just as much time on non-flying mounts (ARR hunts, gathering, leveling alt classes, etc) as I do flying ones even with HW. Most flying mounts look silly on the ground.

No, learnt my lesson from WoW about buying $25 mounts and so I bought Sleipnir on sale and I feel like I got my money's worth (bought it after flying mounts were a thing too). Most used land mount, and I love sound effects on that thing when you're moving about.
