Seph was easier than Thordan, but I still only got one clear in before it went obsolete. So, how's this one? I assume it's pretty tough considering how hard normal mode was.

Surpringly tame, there are a few key differences from normal version a handy guide will pretty much cover everything. I suspect he will be more pug friendly than Sephirot was.
Many people have already cleared it, some clearing it day 1. Its fairly easy though compared to Seph. We didn't get to go our full raid time but were already close to completing it.
Still in progress, like making nidhogg to 50%...
My group did it pretty easily.
It has a couple random elements to it, moreso than Seph or Thordon, but it's not something overly difficult. Just lots of moving and testing of your patience not to move too soon.
Reminds me of Thordan, just memorization and being aware of your surroundings, I still need to see beyond the towers though. I'm falling behind.
um... very easy D: maybe easier than ravana.
It was very easy for my group. We learned and beat the whole thing with 4 wipes.
Not hard, but the amount of people in "clear parties" or "final phase parties" who can't get past the first few mechanics is staggering.
that's how it's always been. people just try to hi-jack those parties, expecting to get carried - fortunately there will be raid finder...or is already?
i just gave up on seph after a while, cause of that rubbish - then when a FC member ended up with a clear/farm pt, i joined that once a slot opened up, and tadaa; so if i get back to the game, that's what i'll do from then on - do a few runs to learn the fight, then wait for a REAL farm pt.
people just need to find enough sense, to understand you can't get carried in those fights (not in pugs anyway) you're just wasting everyone's time.
rofl, ya those comments are so funny.
learning pt, going for win
always makes me lol. positive attitude is good sometime, but keep it real haha.
Nidhog Ex ist the easiest Ex Trial I've seen in the game.
We did invest 4 hours and were not only done with practise. We were also done with weapon farming.
I already clear it and I can say... I feel bad for WHM's MP at Akh Morn that makes me spam Succor and Deployment Tactics. How AST will handle this?
The damage is minimal. Despite its threatening animation, a cure 3 and 1 medica will top everyone hp to full. Or better ,1 medica and 1 medica 2 and let the HoT do the rest. Dont be deceived.
Oh really? Maybe I just cleared it so I might not adapt with the damage of Akh Morn, because I see the damage is pretty huge at first boom lol.
It was a fun fight but i wanted more out of a fully powered up Nidhogg.
Boring and so far the easiest from HW primals.
Need help if anyone can provide that will be great but during nail and claw phase when Blue tether gets stack icon I know other blues dont stack together but where am I meant to run? I get mixed messages, some say run all the way to the red nail and the reds will follow other say just stay in the middle and have the reds come to you, I get told different things each party. The latter option makes more sense but it puts blue people in danger if they accidentally wonder in the stack icon radius.
I'm more curious about this fight without a WHM. As WHM I can solo heal all Ankh Morn (sometimes stupid death do happen). Cure 3 FTW. The later ones with Seal or Mantra. But in the runs I did die for a stupid reason, the SCH wasn't able to heal through the 3rd or 4th Ankh Morn. Don't know about AST (will do it as AST tomorrow), but I dont think the group heals compared to a SCH make a big difference in this case.
Can confirm I can soloheal first and second Akh while the 3rd always wiped us if I was solo.
Theres a SCH soloheal vid and they used tank LB 1 on the 3rd.
On Cerby most teams use halfway between both pillars as stackpoint or basically the mark that is set for later after first Akh to bait the Eyes.
Wow that's good to here but on my server most learning parties don't last pass the 3rd wipe. Idk if I should jump ship or give up till echo. -_-
That being said, the converse is true occasionally. I did an A2S yolo nubtastic practice group, ended up clearing.
I concur, the advantage of doing it mid is that the poor sods who have to do the Dragon's Rage stack get DPS uptime on the boss for a few GCDs before re-engaging the nails.
I cannot see how the Chrysalis, Containment Bay S1T7, or The Final Steps of Faith could be considered, in any way, "very easy."
In my opinion it was Thordan > Sephirot > Nidhogg difficulty wise.
There isn't really much happening in the fight, just check the bomb patterns and you are fine.
