I agree. Even though i haven't beaten Ozma yet, the raid itself is great fun as is!
agreed its fun lol
In this community? For every one person that doesn't want it nerfed there another that will and SE tends to listen to those cause they tend to be the loudest.
Which is sad, because majority also are lazy. I'm sorry if it offends anyone but they really are. Nothing comes for free, especially those who sit on netflix or do other things, thinking it's fine to just sit back and let the rest do their thing. This raid is more fun but also harder, which it should be. This should teach a lesson for a big majority of players, yes you, the person who is lazy, for everyone else who listen or do mechanics correct or try their best, thank you!
I will say this
The reason why you all wipe on Ozma isnt because Ozma is hard, Its because people fuck up with positions, adds and orbs!!!
So in other words, GIT GUD!
Agreed. We need challenging 24-man content. I never got a chance to do CT when it released, mainly because back then, I was new to MMO's and I didn't know what to really do at "endgame". But when I went back and did it a month or so ago, I was surprised at how mechanic heavy (well, they were all a tank and spank at that point, but still) the bosses were compared to Void Ark. I came in expecting Weeping City to be a breeze, then proceeded to almost wipe on the first boss and get completely annihilated to the second. It honestly gave me a huge adrenaline rush the closer we got to killing each boss.
This dungeon was a pain in the ass, Ozma like with FF9 got me killed alot of times and at the end of this dungeon I had 10% durabilty left.
Yet this dungeon was epic, the euphoria that I felt after clearing this dungeon was worth it, it was a pain, but so good. Its like with single player games, you fight this epic boss, you lose, you try again, you lose. You learn and adjust and you beat him. This dungeon and the Ozma fight gave me the single player FF feeling. I realy hope they do not change it and instead make the next 24man raid have the same difficulty.;)
This is the best 24 man yet, and I'll actually feel compelled to run it every week unlike Void Park. As gear improves and strategies proliferate, the clear rate will increase. SE please PLEASE don't touch Weeping City.
If people don't want it nerfed, then be patient with players that don't know the mechanics yet. I got through it yesterday, but there was way too much complaining and rage quitting about people not being experts.
omg please no nerfs
Do not nerf it please!
Nerfing this would be one of the final nails in my sub coffin. DON'T DO IT PLEASE, I LOVE IT.
SE are so going to nerf it. Too many players expect insta-wins and vote abandon whenever they don't get things first try.
Welcome to FFXIV, where everything has to be so easy that a monkey could do it.
Do not nerf it, cleared it once, had a plenty of wipes in other parties but people are learning fast, we got this, let us try. :))
The problem is that they realy are probably going to nerf it...
Why? Because companies these days are listening more to Whinning kids than to actual people, you can take blizzard's decision to change Tracer because people felt "Offended" and big quotes on this one..."Could not stop staring at her ass because it is too sexualized..."
Companies listen to whinners than to decent people because whinners always find ways to get more people on their side, SJW are a good example of this.
Finally content where i feel like i deserved gear i got ! No facerolling at least at start i am really happy about something midcore in game, NO NERFS
i'm glad we finally have casual content that isn't 100% roll my face on the keyboard.
I had a hard time clearing it but I also had a lot of fun.
no nerfs please :C
I'm not worried about nerfs yet.
Cuchulainn in Void Ark was a mess in DF for awhile and SE didn't adjust it. It got smoother as players got more experience with it. If we're still seeing low clear rates a few weeks from now then SE may adjust it.
I haven't beaten it myself yet but it seems like a pretty decent difficulty. The one group I tried it with got stuck on Ozma but we were definitely improving.
This is the midcore-tier difficulty content I've been looking for in this game. +1 like.
same with me i was upset when they nerfed the first steps if they nerf anything now im out cancelling sub
SE, in all my time playing, you have finally done it. Mhach is what 24-man raid is supposed to be. The difficulty is just right. Now I feel motivated to do it every week, hell, I even wanted to do it everyday even though I already looted.
DON'T NERF IT. To the players who can only complain and Q.Q -> GIT GUD
Well it seems hard now because people are still trying to get the hang of the mechanics. One we start getting good.We will all see that no nerfs are needed.Did I mention how gorgeous the visuals and the music are @_@.I am loving the difficulty so far.
Yeah. I really hope it isn't nerfed. It's an awesome raid in terms of atmosphere, music and mechanics. Very enjoyable.
I'll add my voice to the others, please don't nerf, cleared it day 2 with mostly new people. It's perfectly tuned IMHO, you actually have to pay attention. I know it's a foreign concept to some players, but I like my games challenging.
Awesome raid, kudos to SE.
Imo the Mechanics are great, just they need to be less damaging.
Yes SE please leave it the way it is. Don't turn it into another boring Void Ark. The bosses here actually require some level of thought to get through.
I love it really but I spent 4 hours trying to clear it to run out of time on the last boss & I'm worried every single week will be like this. But....I really dont want it nerfed.
SE just made every piece of "casual" content so faceroll easy, people go in expecting they can half ass everything as usual not realizing their party has been carrying them through everything only for a huge jump in difficulty without warning. Yoshi P creates these players & reinforces their attitude, as much as I love him that's kinda the truth.
However some people are just plain...no offense? dumb. The alliance says the mechanics 5 times & people STILL don't listen, it's ridiculous. Red arrows stack on each other WHY ARE YOU STILL RUNNING AWAY DO YOU ENJOY BEING A TOAD?
Why was this thread created anyways? Are there people out there asking for this to be nerfed?
The raid is only killing people atm cause it's new. I only wiped on second boss because of Mega Death and needing to know about the zombie status and on Ozma because it's a lot of stuff to learn for him.
Weeping City is a vast improvement to Void Ark and it would be very upsetting if they do nerf it :(. I love the raid a lot, the music is so much better than Void Ark too.
Steps of faith had to be nerfed because new players could not do it because people were flat out refusing to do it once they cleared it and was required for a new expansion and the fight wasn't very fun honestly and if you failed you had to sit there and wait for Vishap to get to the gate.
With Nidhogg I don't see it being a problem in a couple of weeks when most people have clears the fight is not mechanic heavy and is an enjoyable fight.
Mhach is fully optional content so it has no reason to be nerfed and it doesn't seem much harder then CT was at the start is just a matter of people getting the fights down.
As much as I actually like this dungeon and its environment, the current abysmal clear rates on the DF are going to keep me from going in much until the situation improves. Whether that's a result of people gittin gud or a nerf to the dungeon, I don't much care, to be honest. Having a nice dungeon amounts to naught if you end up not even wanting to go in because you know most groups are just going to be a waste of up to 2 hours of your life.
It's basically the same thing that happened when Steps of Faith (the original, unnerfed one) was placed on the trials roulette, and nearly every run of the trials roulette put you in that instance for a while because so many people were desperately trying to clear it... so I stopped running that roulette for a while too.
Oh, same thing happened with Alexander: Gordias, too. Didn't run that much at all for the first couple weeks because DF was just terrible at it.
This. This so much. After just clearing it with 1 minute left on the timer I don't wanna go back in for awhile.
I also really loved Ozma. He's not even hard in my opinion. That second boss takes forever though.
I don't want a nerf. Hopefully folks learn the bosses soon and this can hopefully become the standard.
Agreed! This difficulty is perfect as is.
