I am really hoping I am on wrong on this but I am so mad I can't think straight.
We waited YEARS to have a 2-handed version of the Mogwand. Most of us spent MILLIONS getting the thing crafted knowing it was a 1-hander but that SE had PROMISED to make it 2-handed so we could glam.
In January they put in the NQ version of the 2-handed wand. For those who already had the NQ 1-handed they offered a free exchange in Mor Dhona to switch from the 1-handed to the 2-handed.
Today we FINALLY have the 2-handed version of the crafted wand with animation/glow, but don't get too excited though because you can't exchange your current one. The one you spent millions to get, and waited patiently to be patched in, that one is TOTALLY useless. If you got the one that takes zero effort and 5 minutes to obtain then yes they can make that one exchangeable but not the one that actually requires work to get.
Please tell me I am wrong and there is some way to exchange the Malevolent Moggle Mogwand for the Mighty Moggle Mogrod or upgrade. Why the heck couldn't the same thing you did for the NQ be put in place for those who already own the crafted ilvl95 wand?
If I did not accidentally overlook something and this is indeed the case then this was a really low blow devs, really low. You make us wait so freaking long, promise a fix then do this, it's a shame, a real shame. Still waiting on the Summoner pets we were promised in 2.2 also. If you can't/won't deliver something please stop promising it.

Yeah, it would have been better if the 1hand mog weapon is part of the recipe for the 2 hand weapon to give it an upgrade feeling

Exactly, as long as I don't need another whisker a small, not overly priced item to upgrade it to the 2 handed would be fine. I just can't figure out why they are being like this over it. It might sound like a silly thing to quit game over but I have honestly had it with their broken promises and their treatment of customers. I probably won't end up quitting over it, but it's very tempting. Why continue pumping money into a company who has so little regard for their customers time, energy and effort? This item really shouldn't be this big of a deal yet they seem determined to make it so.

When they released FF7 on Steam a few years ago it was launched with some horrible midi music. The customers made their complaints to SE and a patch was released that restored the original music to the game for free.
There are countless other examples of how SE listens to their fans and customers. What you and everyone else has to realize is you are not their only customer and you are not the only voice speaking. When you compare SE to the other game companies out there like EA, Ubisoft and Blizzard/Activision I think you will see how much better SE is when it comes to caring for the people that support them.
Send them a message in a calm and rational voice and I am willing to bet you will recieve a response, and it might even be a positive one. -

Just because a WHM or BLM would be able to appear to be using their respective one-handed weapons wouldn't mean a PLD or WAR would be able to, does it? O.oQuote:

Going by my friend's experience farming Ramuh (and assuming it's the same drop rate) it may be as common as one in three runs. -

Well currently the only classes that use both 1 and 2 hand weapons are WHM and BLM, and you could possibly count NIN in there. What if they introduced a new set of 1 or 2 handed weapons for each class. How about a 1 hand ax and shield for warriors, or maybe a double bladed ax DnD style. Maybe 2 hand crossbows for bards similar in style to Diablo 3's Demon Hunter.
If they did something like that I could start to see a reason for them working on glamoring 1 hand onto 2 hand weapons or the reverse. As it stands now its a small population that would benefit from developing that feature so I don't think we will be seeing it anytime soon. -

Without simultaneously removing the class restrictions on glamours. So if it's a coding thing, they pretty much have the code already for it. It shouldn't be that much more work to change "armour" to "weapon" in the coding, should it? And if it's a matter of ticking a checkbox on the actual items (so to speak), there being fewer 1H weapons only means there's less work, doesn't it? O.o I mean, it's not like they'd need to edit the weapon appearances or animations, since the animations are exactly the same for 1H and 2H weapons.Quote:

Had that not been the case I wouldn't have got it made. It was November of last year when they promised us they were doing away with glamour/slot restrictions when I had it made. Then patch hits and they only applied the slot changes to armor, not to weapons as well.Quote:
