Let the hunt for the double-seater pegasus mount begin!
ETA wut, they added crafted Bismarck and Ravana weapons?
My final guess is that this:
Unstained Clan Mark Log : A list of elite marks slain by the log's owner...before the owner herself...passed away peacefully of natural causes following fifty summers of Hunts.
Will be used to get this:
Astrope Whistle: A small hand-carved whistle that emits a unique, high-pitched tone discernible only by Astrope.
Or this:
Aerodynamics System Identification Key: A thin rectangular piece of some unknown material. Placing it near your reprogrammed logistics system will magically bring the machine to life.
Those craft updates are kinda glorious. Granted, I still detest the Red Scrips system. But still.
It's looking like a mentor reward, unless they throw it into Aquapolis or its related rewards or something. Also apparently it's name is Astrope. c:
Also: Aerodynamics System Identification Key: A thin rectangular piece of some unknown material. Placing it near your reprogrammed logistics system will magically bring the machine to life. Looking like that's the Shatter reward? I didn't see any armor names that stood out to me as a replacement for Field Commander. I'm going to be really surprised if they made a mount the Shatter win reward. o.o
Although I'm glad the flower is unisex... I'm sad no news about the unisex gear :(
They still didn't give orchestrion roll of Shiva, Ramuh, and Leviathan

Yoshida reading patch 3.3 notes
Well it wouldn't be the first time. I'm also wondering if maybe it's a hunt reward since we got a new hunt log? (I edited my post to add the info haha.) But actually maybe we get another magiteck mount from Shatter since we got ADS from original Frontlines, so maybe like, an Allagan airship mount? :O
Boo! And such a pointless thing to "fix", especially after letting it run so long.Quote:
The following issues have been resolved...An issue wherein completing the challenge log objective “Meld Your Heart” on a non-Disciple of the Hand class would grant experience points to that non-Disciple of the Hand class.
Hope those new craftable primal weapons will have nice glows :3
Ramuh lightning and Bismarck... ... wind?
I want ariyala to update Q_Q
I was thrilled to see the cordial recipe isnt all that difficult to get mats for :)
Super happy about that
(Also super happy to see that SE is finally remastering XII for PS4)
The things you discover when your forced to log out for a while haha...
I really hate the secrecy and just wish they gave us all the info in the patch notes.
Edit:
I saw this:
See that? That is the correct way to do patch notes when it comes to new items. The full info (where, who, and how) should be present in the patch notes for every item/mount/minion they add.Quote:
The following items can now be purchased from the Vanu Vanu beast tribe vendor:
Vanu Vanu Head/Vanu Vanu Body/Vanu Vanu Arms/Vanu Vanu Waist/Vanu Vanu Legs
* Players who achieve Bloodsworn reputation will be able to purchase these items from the beast tribe vendor using tokens or gil.
The following items can now be purchased from the Vath beast tribe vendor:
Gnath Head/Gnath Thorax/Gnath Arms/Gnath Abdomen/Gnath Legs
* Players who achieve Bloodsworn reputation will be able to purchase these items from the beast tribe vendor using tokens or gil.
Battle on the Big Bridge, On Windy Meadows, Twilight Over Thanalan, Whisper of the Land and Dragonsong orchestrion rolls are go! :D YES!!
And it seems I picked up on something on the prelim patch notes in an earlier thread which SE has since changed - the modification to maps to show red arrow marks on the map artwork where zone lines are, and one was shown on the map for Old Gridania in a location that is not accessible at this stage - the full patch notes have a changed example map with that particular arrow now gone and a note below stating that the earlier notes showed an image for content "that was still in development." Still, my mind boggles at the potential future possibilities that particular zone line will have (Lily Hills).
To be honest I am not all too happy about the new crafting updates.
I just can't help but wonder "what was all the work to gather all those items and scrips to get that gear for?"
I know no one "forces" us to get new newest gear, but I just feels like after working very hard to gather mats and make the highest level crafting gear, the requirements to make it / get it get nerfed super hard.
I think it's good that they added new gear and new methods to acquire it, but why severely lower the requirements to get the old "top-quality" gear? Why not just keep it the same?
The other updates look really nice, but some stuff made me lose interest in crafting / gathering in general. If things can be acquired so easily now, what was the point in working hard to get them before?
And removing specializations? I know a lot of people wanted this, but I don't understand why. Is it really so difficult to find someone who has a specialization and ask them to make it for you? I never had any trouble with this.
Personally, I like having specializations because it added a little uniqueness to people's crafting abilities. Why is it necessary to remove them?
I liked to main crafter and was trying to get the red-scrip gear for gatherer. It is too easy now. And I feel like there is even no point in getting the next level of gear either. Now I don't know what I want to do.
Is there anyone else who understands this feeling?
EDIT: I have a better idea for an update: Remove this crazy-short character limit in the forums.
Something tells me I should have stockpiled on those seemingly useless crafted things that are going to end up on the new crafting gear, like sewing thread etc.
I have no foresight.
Hi Selli
How did you do your Signature with those 5 pictures. It's really good :-)
I got you, fam.

Sorry, I couldn't resist. XD
[EDIT] D'aww, thank you! c:
I originally couldn't decide between which of the two images in my signature that I wanted to use, so I Googled some templates and found this one. I just made the squares, gave them some shadow, and threw the images between the frames and the shadows, and erased any extra parts. [EDIT2] Oh and then I added my name and some hearts and things. XD
It seems like they're removiing specialist requirements from old recipes, so it's accessible by more people. Most of the recipes added in this patch will most likely be specialist though. They always do this. Keep things exclusive for a while, then make it more accessible later, when it's no longer new content.
I don't mind the swap from red scrip to blue for the craft/gather gear, but I can see nothing in the notes that tell me what we can do with the craft tokens (worth 50 scrip each). we better be able to turn them in for the cups/dice. I'm not getting that impression from the notes.
Aww they didnt add Unspoken to the orchestion this patch, maybe next time. I love almost everything about this update though. Yay increased cooking + alc yields. Also I hope they didnt forget to add stuff to culinary desynth, or at the very least have some use for those new big fish out of just completing your fishing log.
While it does say that its 50 reds per goblin item, and 50 reds in 1 token, it doesn't necessarily say that you can get it on a per token basis. If I understood the patch notes correctly, it's on a scrip basis and not token basis.
Hopefully I'm wrong because otherwise it'll make my stockpile of tokens near useless.
Do you mean Blue script craft tokens? Or Red ones?
Red ones:
Available for purchase using Rowena's tokens (red crafters' scrips):
Craftsman's Competence Materia IV / Craftsman's Cunning Materia IV / Craftsman's Command Materia IV / Rowena's Token (Blue Crafters' Scrip)
Available for purchase using Rowena's tokens (red gatherers' scrips):
Gatherer's Guerdon Materia IV / Gatherer's Guile Materia IV / Gatherer's Grasp Materia IV / Rowena's Token (Blue Gatherers' Scrip)
Blue ones:
Basically all of the stuff that used to require Red ones.
Also note that you can buy Blue Scrips by trading in Red scrips (it seems!)
Is this what you were talking about, or something different?
... What the hell with the Augmented craft? So it's just like 170 but dyeable + bigger stat?
Excuse my stupidity but I don't understand the red to blue crafting change.
I got nearly 300 red crafting tokens. Does that mean I can swap them for blue scrips? Sorry I really don't understand
Well, you can exchange your red tokens for the newly created blue tokens. If you do this, nothing's changed. Your red tokens are still there to buy the ilvl 180 gear. Now, they are called blue tokens instead (and are unlimited, just like the ones for gatherers).
Or you trade them in for grade IV materias.
Here is what I want to know:
What can we do with top-tier crafting gear that we made ourselves? (Not the ones purchased with red crafting scrips).
It seems like the only gear which can be augmented is the gear purchased with red scrips. So does that mean we cannot improve upon our top-tier crafting gear unless we buy the splendor vendor gear first?
So...it seems like making top-tier gear instead of buying it with red scrips was a waste of time since we can't improve upon it now.
So i have 30+ Red's Gatherer Token that are unsuable ???.. WTF!!! >:(
SE ... need to exchange Red Tokensx1 - Goblin Cup/Dice x1... or we will rage in fury!
Like I said it's not clear if you can buy the upgrade material with red tokens, or as stated only red scrips. Personally I wish you could buy them with red tokens because most of us will have stockpiled the tokens and NOT scrips. Those who stockpiled on the 500 max scrips can upgrade to 190 out of the gate; the rest of us have to grind the weekly again.
Maybe there will be some time to use the tokens before the scrip update hits (on the 9th).
Could we use the tokens to purchase the red crafter / gatherer splendor vendor gear before the 9th? In that case, we can make use of some of our stashed tokens.
These seems to be the conversion rate. I didn't see how many red scrips you get now per collectible turn in or if that has been adjusted. I have about 112 Red Tokens and am not sure is they can be used for this now. Can I buy back red scrips with the tokens?

the red scripts can also be used to exchange for material that will allow you to buy augmented Tools/gears for crafters/gatherers you require around 50 red scrips for 1 of those material and you need 13 of those to get the augmented gears/tool (sooo around 650 red scripts for 1 tool/gear) so still quite a grind not too bad but still quite. so I would use your red script to buy that material and get blue scripts for the base tool/gear that can be augmented with the new material
Sooo confusing LOL
