GC PVP Restrictions again?!?!

'Players can queue to enter Frontline campaigns alone, or in a party of up to eight players. Although there are no role restrictions when queuing as a party, all party members must be affiliated with the same Grand Company.'

At an absolute loss for words. I'm honestly starting to believe SE just doesn't want PVP to succeed at all. An approximately 100page + thread couldn't convince you that the mass majority of PVP'ers are completely against this ridiculous GC Restriction?

So much for listening to your players.

Frontlines are always gonna be GC-based. This really shouldn't be that much of a surprise.

If you want non-GC restricted PvP...that's what The Feast is for.

There is no good reason for frontlines to be GC-based.
Pro's of non-GC restricted Frontlines:
- Can do frontlines with friends, regardless of GC affiliation!
- Queue times shrink massively!

Cons of non-GC restriced Frontlines:
- Have to slightly alter lore.

Since... JP data center don't have problem with queue, I think dev still continue with GC restriction.

It may be 100 pages but Id like to bet that a majority is just the same people argueing back and forth on it vs the 1000s who never touch the forum. I do agree it is an odd choice for PvP but meh.

They listen, they then just choose to ignore perfectly sensible suggestions that would fix everything... A mercenary type option for Frontlines would maintain the Grand Company flavour while pretty much fixing queues entirely, but SE has been ignoring that suggestion since 2.1...

My bitching seems to have finally gotten assists added to Frontlines though, so I have that to fail to offset the rest of the PvP disappointment in this patch...

Aren't Frontlines linked to some lore quest ? that might be the reason they keep it that way

Lore-wise, Frontlines is a gold rush under the guise of joint military training (ALL of the game's PvP is basically joint military training actually), to determine who gets the rights to the resources found in those areas. So yes, GC restricted.
