Pretty much sums up what my first year in XIV felt like. I want this game to succeed, in earnest; however, I still sometimes feel this way in some instances. I thought it might have been what other people were feeling, as well.

fail attempt at troll ;p
lol ok then
They are fixing the engine, a new one comes out with 2.0.
To sum up what (I believe) Yoshi wants out of the new engine:
- Able to process hundreds of character models (400?) in real time, as opposed to the current 40, without losing quality.
- Able to look and play well on high end computers, while also being able to scale down for dated ones.
- Able to play correctly on the PS3 hardware.
And for the new server engine:
- Streamline data processing.
- Make searching easy.
- Allow for characters from different Worlds to play content together.
- Able to process worlds smoothly.
And the new client software:
- Moddable user interface.
Did I miss anything?
I thought this thread would be regarding the graphics engine being made and not the current one. Is it really that difficult to read the important announcement that has been at the top of the news feed for weeks now?
So either this thread is a complete waste of space, or the OP did not know that the engine is getting replaced? Either way, lol.
They should still improve this engine as much as possible. After all you will be playing on it for the next year.
Some people sound like SE could break class balance now since they will change classes in 2.0. Or they can remove some zones. After all in 2.0 we will get new ones.
Besides that we all know this engine sucks now so we can only wait.
