I hope SE would stop using your 4v4 rank in determining who you are paired up with. And no it's not because I believe that as a highly ranked player that I am upset being paired with newer people, I don't expect anything more from playing the noncompetitive version of a pvp game mode.
The thing is that if I want to chill and play a different job and try to play 8v8, the ques are horrendous, because the system tries so hard to make the teams 'equal' by using the ratings of a separate game mode. As I have seen a majority of people who play 8v8 feast are either low bronze or not placed, which makes players like me makes it really hard for the system to pair teams up equally.
It is just frusterating. 8v8 ques should not be affected by 4v4 ratings.

I never had these broken que's for 8v8 (only tank). Yes they are a bit longer (10 min average to a 5 min for 4v4), but nothing crazy. Could you just be queing at off hours?

Seems to vary. Sometimes I'm queued at 11pm CST and it's like a 20-minute average wait. I was queued at 7am this morning though (because I was sick and couldn't sleep), and it was a 6-minute average wait. I got tired and went to sleep though so I didn't see if it popped.

i tend to get several Seal Rock games in the am. Whereas 8v8 will tell me the avg wait time is 23minutes but will never pop. Ive fallen asleep in que and wake up hours later to finally getting in.

Pretty sure at that time I wasn't even Bronze. Kyani may have been but I know we didn't have anyone higher than silver on our team.
But 2 Plats and a gold vs. a largely unranked team makes me think that 1)SE's matchmaking system blows , 2) rank is not considered in 8v8, or 3) 1&2

Its not only 8 v 8 either, the solo queues are drastically slower than they used to be. It may be that ppl are trying to protect their rank so they stopped queuing, or maybe ppl are just bored with feast in general idk. I worry actually that this mode may be dead next season especially given the fact that historically each new addition to pvp effectively kills the previous incarnations and we have a new frontline mode coming out in just over 2 weeks.

the community realy into pvp is very small, when a content come out many of the players is doing pvp by hype or for the reward, when the hype fell down or the reward is got, only the guys doing pvp for fun is queuing, otherwise guys into ranked don't queue a lot for the others pvp content atm, exept for trying a job maybe.
I think wolfmarks should be more attractive to make pvp not die so fast but it's annoying to admit we need carrot to get content alive. -

As for 8vs8, well...it has role requirements. That's quite a bit worse than GC requirements, because it relies on gameplay popularity which, uh...especially in the case of tanks tends to be on the low side.
