Lore Gear... Thank goodness for glamour

I apologize if another thread has this topic. But... is anyone a fan of the lore gear appearance, or am I the only one that think it looks kinda of crappy? I went back to the 50 relic gear for a change. I may go back to my eso gear. Loved that set.

I like healing lore gear, well actually only the chest.

I only like tank and monk gear. Doesn't like healer and caster gear.

I hate my drg gear. I feel like like Golden Eagle...

I love the healer/caster tank and monk gear. I think once dyable i might like the aiming stuff more.

Nope, I casted glamour it into my PLD's eso gear the moment I have a piece. On the other hands, my poor DRK still have the appearance and looks good with the hive greatsword. :'(

I only like the tank chest piece. But after a while seeing that all the melee dps and tank gear are about the same I went to glamour everything.

Mhm...I like NIN/BRD/MCH gloves and boots, Healer/Caster chest, boots and helmet plus the Tank/MNK legs because of the suggestive hole near the privies. MNK weapons are just gorgeous and I like the daggers and DRK "sword" as well. Also like the bracers, rings and earrings for a change, at least the non-STR ones.

I dunno. I'm always just picking the parts I like anyway :P

I've always disliked the 'made from bone' look with lots of things sticking out. But as a Monk, I had picked up a set of the Sky Pirate gear before Eso, and I use that to glamor over everything. It's unique looking, and sorta cool. I'll stay with it until something more appealing comes along.

There's been worse tome gear imo.

The Noct (on females) and Evenstar (cats and Au Ra) come to mind...

The tank chestpiece looks pretty damn sweet dyed jet black. Looks pretty cool in its original colors too although I've always been a fan of red/black. Striking doesn't look as awesome though, due to the lack of the buttcape, and the metal turning into leather.
I like the aiming/scouting chest and sleeves...
The caster and healer chest I like, maybe more dyed in different colors, but I'm very meh about tights and little booties, and I think I would rather have gloves/sleeves that flare out like the aiming/scouting ones. The set also doesn't really look as good on male characters...

I actually have crafted chest piece for blm but i agree about the gear, it is rather ugly. Not to mention multiple jobs the gear is just reskins. Ninja, Bard and Machinist as well i think? I know Ninja and Bard for sure

This is precisely why we have glamour prisms. Different people are always going to have different tastes.

Love the tanking body piece, and the hands/legs/feet are okay. Not a fan of the horned helmet. Just wish that I could get the body piece without the "skirt/cape/whatever" portion.

Same as above. Which is disappointing considering the amount of time and effort required to get the lore gear. Here's to hoping the next set of tome gear looks considerably better.

I'm kind of disappointed with the healer set, I have to admit. It looks a bit bland. I was hoping for something more natural-looking and... "icy", considering it's based off Shiva. It looks more like a snazzier version of an Ironworks set.

The aiming/scouting set is glitching galore. Practically every part of you goes through one part of it.

I dig the hellfire stuff on my Femroe Warrior.

I like the caster set actually, probably because it reminds me of the Shiva babe - but, srsly, SE, you couldn't have given us pretty heels? LIKE WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO WITH THOSE FLAT UGLY DUCKS ON MY FEET!? ;u;

Time and effort? You can get them by doing roulette a few times a week though... o.O

To be faaair...that's ~two hours per week for 14 weeks!

Not really much effort at all when you compare it to raid gear.

Only thing I don't like on the DRG gear is the weapon. It's weaksauce compared to Beak of The Vortex

Thaaat...depends on how capable your brain is I'd say. For a 83 year old pensioner with deteriorated reflexes and slowed thinking, it'd likely be an unsurmountable effort. But I can imagine a 17 year old with minor autism to have a very easy time learning the mechanics dance and repeating it over and over. Results are always a mixture of effort x capability after all and humans unfortunately do not all have the same capabilities.

But generally: Yes, for the majority of people, it's less effort than raiding would require.

I only really like the tanking Lore gear. Again the healing set was designed for femininity in mind over health and healing :(. I would've liked a Bismarck or Phoenix set for the healing set.

I LOVE the top to the healers lore gear. The rest of the outfit is kind of meh, but just the top? Sits on my miqo'te just right!

I don't like that the primal themed gear is shared across all the classes. Ifrit works perfect for mnk (claws, fists of flame, etc.) but tanks should have gotten Titan, the unbreakable earth giant would have been perfect and made more sense. Smn/Blm should have gotten Ramuh instead of Shiva. I feel like Leviathan should have gone to drg since he's a serpent and garuda would have made more sense for nin/brd/mch.

I glam'd my lore gear in to the Odin armor, but after getting the 2h sword on drk I went back to using the hellfire set for the sake of the consistency in color. I don't actually like to glamour my gear, I like to see the visual progression of upgrading one piece at a time.
