Max breed chocobo?
How hard is it to get a 4* in all chocobo? I've been trying for a while now got my Pedigree 9 chocobo and i keep breeding it but it just seems i get a tad unlucky xD
Is it absolutely needed or can i just ride along with lets say 3 stars in cunning & accel? Since i'm not planning to max those out?
Honestly i just want the best chocobo i can get to farm MGP with if they ever do bring out more stuff. and kill some time with=P
Any tips are welcome!

Is 20 stars necessary for mgp farming? absolutely not. I had a 24444 chocobo that won almost all the time against the npc's. 20 stars is only needed when you're competing against other people with 20 stars. And it will also get you a slightly better win ratio for mgp farming.
(Where you put your stats and what skills you use is super important, btw!)
As for breeding, just make sure that, for each stat, you have at least one 4 somewhere in your breeding pool, because otherwise you can breed forever and never get a 4 in that stat. If you have the 4s somewhere, it's just time and rng :/

hmm true! Just got bit in the ass rofl. think i'll use my old chocobo to breed again cause the one i currently have is not in my favor!
Well, off to the racing tracks to level this bad boy to 40 again xP

It's not to bad if you start breeding early and are willing to level up multiple sets of chocobos... you just have to invest a lot of MGP because you will throw away a lot of coverings in the process. I was able to get a female and male perfect parent chocobo's around pedigree 7/8 so I can guarantee myself some perfect stat Chocobo's. Just find what coverings have the most 4 star stats, breed 10 times, and pick whatever chocobo has the most 4 star stats and then go from there. I went through maybe 200-300 coverings picking a choosing as well as leveling up 2 chocobo's per pedigree after rank 5.

Right i will do that ty! Yeah i've been dumping a crapton of mgp on the coverings X:
-
What you can also do is instead of breeding over and over with covering, you can stick with a covering offspring with decent amount of stars and max stars, level that up to 40 and retire it as a better breeding partner.
-
There seems to be a lower chance of purchasing coverings with good stats starting around p6 or p7 so you might need to buy p5/6 coverings and train the offspring back up to p9.

I've finally got a 20 star chocobo after an crazy amount of hours non stop in the GC :D My next and final question is! How to put the stats in, Can i just from level one start feeding him Grade 3 food? Or is there a technique too it?

Awesome ty! so it doesn't matter if i do it right away? Cause someone told me to wait till level 20-30 for some reason(Don't ask me why xD)

Not sure how it works but each time you level up your chocobo he/she gains about 20-25 points of stats not including food distributed among the 5 stats category via RNG. So lets say one of those stats category is completely max out, well you still will get 20-25 points of stat growth just distribute among 4 stats category instead of 5. More experience breeder can chime in if I am totally wrong. XD

at 20 stars, each level up, the game randomly picks from all stats that are not maxed (500/500), and increases it by 5. It then repeats this process another 4 times. So each level up you will get a total increase of 25.
You want to decide early on which 3 stats you want to max, and which stat you care least about (tip, it's acceleration). For your early level ups, you can start feeding grade 3s in any of the stats you want to max, but around say level 35 you want to stop feeding. This way you can see where your random increases are from levelling up, and when it gets to a point where the amount left is a multiple of 15 (eg 470/500) you can quickly feed it in that stat to reach cap. this just lowers the chance of you ending up at something like 495/500.
You don't want to do that too early as once you have maxed a stat in this way, it is then removed from the random possible stats the game can pick for your level-up increases (ie before it had 5 stats to pick from, so the chance of it picking acceleration is 20%, after maxing one, you only have four stats now, so it has 25% chance of picking accel)
Doing this is fairly easy to max three stats (actually it's virtually impossible not to), then you just want to get your fourth stat as high as possible, and just hope the game doesn't give you too much in accel (tho it hardly matters)
I ended up maxing speed, stamina and cunning, got my endurance to 450, with accel at 300, and I hardly ever lose. Think last time I lost I got hit by two meteors whilst one of the npcs had a hero tonic (the stamina hit I can recover from, but the speed drop makes it quite hard to take the lead again), I think I came 2nd in that race

Cheers took a sneak peek at that site and has some great info on it:) Quite happy with my chocobo right now and i have only lost one match due to 2 unlucky frenzy's and a meteor. And even that was a close call. So i would call it a journey well spend!
Time to get some MGP with these challenges haha!
