What's your fastest run?

I'm curious what people's best run times are. To keep it consistent, lets do the r300 Sagolii road, and submit a screenshot for proof! It should also be post patch, since I think back before in 2.5 you can have faster speeds until they did all the stamina changes.

I did a few races and here's one of mine at 1:18.80:

I think I'd be faster in comparison to other people on the tranquil paths one actually, since I have max cunning which does squat for Sagolii, but everybody does Sagolii so can't do much about that xD. I have a feeling that in a no-rain race, a fair weather choco can be way faster, or one that uses super sprint and head start, with maybe a lucky heros potion.

And I just want to throw in a suggestion for the devs: we should have a weekly fastest chocobo leaderboard for each map and division, which would give maybe a MGP bonus to the winner at the end of the week :p

I just did a 1:18:51 run, but it doesn't really feel like you can go over 500 speed, even with Hero Tonic.

I wonder why people like Sagoli so much, though, since it's the lowest mgp/time. Tranquil gives a hundred more!

Jeeze, how did you beat my time by half a second? My best time was acquired with the use of two lucky Hero Tonics and changing lanes to travel the least distance.

Was competing with a FC friend to see who could get the fastest time on Sagolii Road, he held the record of 1.17.40, and I beat his down to 1.17.38. So I started to wonder if hitting sub 17 was possible and this is the end result

With Super Sprint you only need 350~ Max Speed since Sprint adds +150 onto what you have.

I have a question about Increased Stamina III and Super Sprint.

Since with Super Sprint you reach top speed practically instantaneously (if not just very quickly), once you hit top speed are you still "accelerating", hence that wouldn't be in effect?

I Just Verified this , and Increased Stamina III effect to Super Sprint. It looks like even after hit top speed its still "accelerating".
At the Sagolii Road stamina was 10~15% different with or without Increased Stamina III.

I'm curious, which gives more stamina overall, Chococure III, or Increased Stamina III?

I'm still at 1:17:25. Can't seem to break through into the 1:16's.
My cunning isn't maxxed, I'm wondering if that's where the shortfall is.

It's not your cunning holding you back, assuming you use super sprint anyway, mines at 350.

I looked, Stamina, Endurance, and Speed are maxxed (I know Speed doesn't need to be for a Super Sprint setup).
So Cunning and Acceleration are what are left short.
I'm using Super Sprint with the Stamina III buff.
Just can't crack into the 1:16's.

You just need 350+ speed, stam and endurance 500 for a chance at a perfect run assuming you have super sprint. beyond that it's just the RNG of not getting meteored by another racer, RNG of what you can grab if you need more stam from pickups (depending on your 2nd ability) and your racing line. you also want foul weather preferred, apparently it matters even with super sprint but i can't be 100% sure on that. if you have all those other things ticked, you are taking a bad line.

the hardest part of chocobo racing is just learning to take the shortest line, not the fastest apex. you don't slow down when you turn like in a car or kart racing. where you normally aim to stay as straight as possible to maintain maximum speed, in chocobo racing you just need short distances.

hope the explanation helped and good luck with your time! it's hard to feel motivated to set a new one when no one has beat my last one, yet so i look forward to checking back and finding i have work to do again :)

DO you need 350 speed? I've read many times that Super Sprint will add 150 to your speed, so 350 was all you need. I was toying with another breeding attempt to put more into cunning (taking away from top speed).

i haven't tested lowering speed personally, i use a chocobo with 500 speed so i have options on the other tracks too.

New fastest time, knocked another 0.05 seconds off. Pretty confident nobody is beating this one.

I'm stuck at 1:17.10. Thought I had a perfect run last night, best lines, nothing hit me at all....
Just can't break in to the 1:16's :(

Those are amazing times, I've been trying recently and the best I could get was 1:16.90, I have no idea how some of you are achieving these fast times!
We must be doing something completely different because I can consistently hit these 1:16.9x with a good start and no meteors, but I'm having a hard time finding any other time saves... I don't think perfecting my current line would save more than a few 0.01s...

I would really appreciate if someone could show a video or give a more detailed explanation of the lines everyone's taking and strategies or conditions for these times below 1:16.80, or how you improved your time when your bests were .90 like mine!

Which are the best abilities and stats if I wanna race on all 3 courses? NO Super Sprint

I have a pedigree 9 chocoboo that has head start as a hereditary and increased stamina III for it's acquired skill. Can easily keep up and beat any super sprint user.
