Fat Cat mount suggestion

I 've sketched this a while ago and shared it on my social media websites, apparently many people liked the idea so I'm posting it here too (I hope it's the correct forum section for that!)

I would personally love to have a Fat Cat mount! Some people suggested we had a fishing pole with fish on it to make it walk, like Fat Chocobo, haha.

OH MY GOD. YES. SO MUCH YES. Fat Cat is probably my favorite thing in the entire game. Fat Cat mount, Fat Cat race, Fat Cat glamour... yes gimme them all.

For less goofy mount I would love to have a dinosaur mount, or a goat-like monster mount (insert The Hobbit reference here)

You make it sound as if the majority of the mounts in this game are big, fat goofy mounts. Out of 58 total, there are only a handful of goofy types (fat chocobo, goobbue, broom, gobwalker come to mind).

I don't mind getting this as a mount....but please, don't let it fly.

Some things just should not fly. Turtles were one, fat cats are another.

ok I guess there isnt that many, I just really hate the goofy stuff.. and not just goofy but all the glowy mounts, something more realistic like the warbear mount I just find alot more pleasing.. I won't say the fat chocobo ruins my immersion of the game completely, but it just seems silly.. especially in a world and story line as serious as this one, seems insulting almost

While we are on suggestions though, I'd think it be cool if the little pup and kitten minions we get at lvl 15 have a new quest where they have grown up and become new mounts for us

Well, technically the kitten minions when they growl up they will become Coeurls, according to the game's description but I get the idea :)

I've seen Gamera and Nyan Cat plenty of times. Using them to justify that being in this game still doesn't make sense though.

Nyan Cat was mostly just a for fun thing to put there. Gamera was because Turtle's flying animation is a shout-out to it.

Speaking of flying turtles in this game, this was only pointed out to me in another mount thread yesterday: http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Stupendemys

I'd prefer more horses that actually have armored plating. Yes, we have one or two I think and although the trial ponies are nice, the trial ponies don't really look like horses ready to ride into battle and they aren't armored.

But more horses with armor would be a great thing. A light-colored one donning that is just one example. Can you imagine how beautifully gallant a Paladin would look if he were on a white horse with brilliant armor?

Danger noodle mount would be interesting. Can't make it look like a luck dragon, though... for copyright raisins.

I was actually happy Bismarck and Ravana mounts are birds for a change.

I will accept giant fat cat mount IF you run ontop of it to roll it along like a comedic "running/balancing on a moving boulder" type deal.

Or a Giant Panda, since the Lesser Panda is the red panda :)

It's finally here. And also a black fat chocobo. SE is heading to the right fat direction.

Reviving the thread just to say I am pleased that some of the suggestions made in this thread eventually made into the game after some years :)
