Maybe reraise will come as WHM skills.....
and I hope WHM have group raise too
A raise like res of loci from Aion would be nice too. Res any dead party members and their body raises by the caster. Essentially it's a tractor+raise in one.
Yes i agree, we Need a re-raise being dead most of the Primal fight suck, Since the Mage was busy keeping the tank alive,
Grand company item has a reraise item i believe for 200 credits.
We need the reraise spell back before we can even think of reraise items.
Why they took it out in the first place is beyond me.

It says they instantly recover you from KO or incapacitation or something in the description, from what I remember, with the cheap one being "sometimes" and the expensive one being a sure thing.
I've gotten used to not having Reraise and it adds a nice element of danger and challenge. In most cases you can retry things almost immediately compared to the several days/weeks it took to be allowed reentry into some fights in FF11. I personally hope they don't implement Reraise anytime soon.

Is there any confirmation that you can actually use that on a downed player, and it raises them??? I've never seen or heard of anyone actually using it in-game.
I used the tonic before it nice to have as a mage or DD you can use this on a down player w/ no harm to mp. If they have Re raise i see it having a very long cool down. Then its gonna be back to zombie tactics <.<

So that tonic isn't like a buff reraise it's just a quick to use if mage is saving mp on tank i take it o.o
Sounds like it. But most players DD and Mage have at LEAST raise on their bar somewhere so the tonics I would assume are for those who really don't like the hybrid idea in the game or are too stringent to want to carry it and feel it un"natural" for a DD to have any con spells...idk.
I don't see reraise bieng *quite* as useful in FFXIV as in XI, since there are teleport nodes all over the place, and in theory, you can set your homepoint just about anywhere and not risk being sent too far away.
That said... I'd really like to see reraise, sneak, and invisible added back in. They were my favorite spells in XI because I'm an avid explorer and like to go places where I'm liable to die. Right now, exploring in XIV is quite limited because a lot of chokeholds have high level aggressive mobs placed there with the sole purpose of preventing exploration (not like there's anything on the other side...). That doesn't make me happy.
I think it would be nice if they make RR earrings one of the new goldsmith recipes, they could do with a good gil earner. Or if the devs want another gil sink they could make them non craftable and sell them from npc's.
If you notice the screenshot of 2.0...potions on the action bar...expect potions to make a more important role in the future of gaming...would be nice to be a pot mage. Or at least bring a little cheer to alchemy.
It was still dangerous. I died tons of times because sneak/invis wore off at a bad time. There was still plenty of edge.
In any case, I wouldn't feel so much like sneak/invisible were necessary in FFXIV if they placed monsters in fairer ways. That is, instead of putting them in chokeholds, put them a bit in front or a bit behind, so that it is at least *feasible* to get by. Right now, there are a lot of areas that completely unexplorable because of monster placement, and it's one of the few things left I don't like about XIV.
I think once they get rid of the "every monster has a ranged attack" nonsense we'd be able to explore more freely.
Checked in with the dev. team regarding reraise-type items and they said that there currently aren't any plans for them. However, in the future, if a major need arises (due to some new content, or some other specific reason) they will look into them then.
Why do people need reraise? Isn't that a self-resurrect?
Whitemage had it in 11 and if the party wiped the WHM would be able to salvage the party

Thats the thing with this game isnt it? If we need it for content then we can have it. I hate this motto. Its like sentinel for ifrit. Mages almost barely survives with out it. Why do devs make content that force you to level other jobs. Probably for moogle runs, god only knows what extra class abilities u gonna need. If i just want to play dom classes, i should also be able to enjoy other content as well. Also why does it take you so long to balance classes. Why bother put out a patch where players are forced to play jobs they dont want to for the sake of winning. I dont want to heal i want to nuke. Fighting ifrit though makes this a waste of time as a lnc will out dmg a mage easily. In the future please play your patches and insure balance b4 release or just keep it to yourselves. I dont want to make another post on this subject. Please make the moogle fight enjoyable for classes.
Raise can be equipped by any class in DoW and DoM, I wouldn't use raise items personally. Anybody can raise. :D
They are addressing Reraise and Reraise items, not raise.
In response to the DEV.. PLEASE go tell them they need to incorporate it!! I think most of us figured it was coming with WHM in the upcoming patches, but to hear that it's not even planned to come at all will shock and upset quite a few people.. :( RERAISE YES PLEASE x 100. And thinking on future content.. either the content must be WAY too easy if RR isn't even being considered, or them guys are really getting off on trivially running back through cleared areas after each and every wipe.
Everybody can raise in this game, its not a big deal. You only really needed to wipe and RR in FF11 because fights required really rare items to enter or if you failed the fight you had to wait days/weeks to reenter. You still had to wait for weakness to wear off and the boss would get full hp by then anyway.
In this game you can reenter things after a few minutes, so exiting the fight and restarting it is pretty much the same thing. This way is just better design and prevents zombie tactics since weakness in this game doesn't make you completely useless, given you didn't die while weakened.
Reraise is not needed when everyone can cast the spell Raise.
Edit: you can also buy raise item from GC also for 200 points
I would love for the ability to cast re-raise. I would like it to be a white mage job ability and can only be cast on self, just in case of party wipe. :)
I'd like reraise for soloing, personally. Everyone having raise is great in a group, but doesn't really help you when you're alone. So yeah, I'd love to have a reraise item or spell.
