Couple of small mount aesthetic requests

- Mounts that are natural flying mobs (Twintania, Zu, Wyvern etc) hover above ground in ground mode like they do as enemies instead of the somewhat akward land walk they have now

- Option to toggle the music fade off when mounts are idle

- Ability to interact with Objects, Quest Objectives and NPCs while mounted

Another QoL thing with mounts... if you hit the key to turn off running (numpad / by default, I believe) so you're walking.... the music fades out just as if you were standing still ;_; I wish that it instead slowed down the music. It'd be awesome with the magitech mount.
(Of course, that... might not be possible with most stuff. Either because the music doesn't lend itself to a slower tempo, or because it'd mean having to remake all the music instead of just adjusting the... pitch, is it? So as long as the "music fade" option affected walking speed mount music as well, it'd be better than it is now. ^^; )

But the butt wiggle on Twintania, Zu, and Bennu is so funny. xD

I prefer the land walk. That big creature hovering doesn't seem right to me. imho i'd rather have the mobs land walk and fly when giving chase. :T

My own request, I wish that, for primal mounts that have primals with different themes for different phases, that they have the phase 1 for the walking theme, and the lyrics phase theme for when flying.
Also I wish the beast tribe mounts played the themes that play when you walk into the beast tribe camps.

but then we have another problem. a thing that really bugs me at the airship and the other hoverng mounts: if you are flying near the ground, over a giant rock or something, you will automatically landing on the thing by accident...

It's quite uncouth, if not downright rude to speak with someone while mounted.
So I suspect this one will never happen. We have to be polite, you know!

I would like the ability to initiate a levequest while mounted...

After shuffling through the menus to find the quest log and initiate the levequest, getting shown an error message because im riding my chocobo is annoying.. Maybe i dont want to get off my chocobo, just so my character can do the generic "throws nothing into the air to use an item" motion..

A minor gripe, but a gripe all the same.

I love the Zu walk so silly.

You mean the beaky the buzzard walk? Ruined the twintania mount on day one for a couple people by mentioning that's what the waddle looks like. They've never ridden it again.

Please, no. I'm extremely grateful to the devs for forcing players to dismount in order to interact with things. It's absolutely absurd seeing hundreds of giant mounts literally crushing an NPC to death whilst people try to talk to them in other MMOs. SE made the right choice in not allowing that.

But I like my giant dragon chicken waddle!

Yeah honestly, we really don't need 50 giant mounts parked on the summoning bell. Characters are bad enough.

The only annoying thing with the mount is when you are riding a two person mount you can't do anything in the back like decipher maps and such you have to dismount in order to do that.

While I don't disagree with the fact it would look absurd, I do disagree that it was the right choice to not allow it. It's sillier that I have to get off of my giant dragon and have it vanish into nothing to say hi to a beast tribe quest giver, and then re-summon that dragon and walk away, and it does more to detract from my personal experience than whatever other people choose to do with their mounts.

And yet you play a lala. You are constantly crushed by every players... on foot. Don't you want to return the favor on that gentle moogle who asked you to play hide and seek and collect rocks?

Being able to choose the mount music from a small selection would also be nice. Like, for example, the primal ponies you could choose from the default 2.x mount theme and the primal's phase 1 and 2 tracks. Gobwalker could encompass all of the Alexander tracks, etc.

In terms of actual aesthetics some more customization akin to your companion would be nice. Swapping out different sails on the manacutter, changing the paint on the mechanical-based mounts, changing the bomb types in the Kobold mount, etc.

I love Twintania flying in the air...cannot stand walking around on her (and the Zu). So, I just use her as one of my designated flying-only mounts, and another of my 40 mounts to walk with (well...there's some I just hate period. Looking at you Manacutter and Broomstick)

Hmm...now I really want customizable Mount and Minion Roulettes again :\

/cpose on a mount (or at least certain mounts).

Some female races sit side-saddle (Elezen and Midlander I know for sure off the top of my head) and I just love that pose, but my Miqo'te sits on mounts normally. The wedding chocobo forces all female models to sit side-saddle, so all of them have the potential to be modeled that way.

I would like to be able to cpose on mounts to use other poses that other races or genders use

Just as a side-note, I'm pretty sure that obstructing the summoning bell is technically against ToS. One of these clauses:

So, if someone is doing it deliberately (or AFKing directly on top of the bell and it annoys you), I'm pretty sure it's reportable.

Press X or whatever button you've set that filters UI elements for you and you can click the summoning bell, NPC, or whatever through the person idling ontop of it.

I just want them to stop the Eternal Bonding gown from clipping through mounts horrendously.

Like the broom mount ?

Speaking of the broom mount - pointing out again that the one mount it makes sense to "side-saddle" and we ride them Kiki-style. Didn't Bewitched ever run in Japan? Come on!
