Tanks and Range DPS, use a mix of MP/TP skills, but caster only use TP for sprint and since I and a select other would like Melee to use MP.
Out of fairness what should caster have in TP skills? 1.0 inside is welcome.

I like using it for Sprint. .-. I have a derpy connection so Sprint allows me to clear AoEs with more certainty than if I were to run out normally. I would hate to lose that mobility. :x
Give casters a spell that lets them move while casting for 10 seconds and costs 1k TP =D
Sprint
do you even realize how many times Sprint has saved my ass as a SCH
yeah, sprint o.o/
why should i want to manage two resscources in battle and also lose the ability to sprint? that's stupid...
Agreed on sprint. I already have plenty if utility to manage. Plus, I'm really squishy haha!
Sprint not only lets you move quickly for better mechanic management, but the TP regen from your sprint actually helps build the LB bar!
Sprint.. To catch up that tank who already walk forward before i could even give shield buffs..
I use sprint quite a lot on BLM, at least in certain fights. It's especially helpful since BLM often needs to get back to standing around as quickly as possible so clearing longer distances faster actually increases your DPS. I think in 1.0 they used phantom dart (now a PvP ability) and it used TP, though essentially filled the role that scathe now fills (sort of).
I think the point the OP wanted to make is that it's unfair that casters don't need to use their TP for anything other than Sprint, while physical DPS classes (or tanks) can't use Sprint because they need their TP for other things. And that maybe Sprint should use MP for physical combat classes. Which in turn would also be unfair because some classes need both (like BRD or DRK, for example).
Edit: Or... not. I just found OP's other topic. You'd think the two topics could have been posted as a single one, but nope ^^;
Actually, sprint doesn't build limit break, apparently. I'm almost certain it used to, though. Or we've all been delusional for years. /shrug
Thamaturge = Concussive Force. Pushes all monsters away from you and stuns them for 2 sec.
Arcanist = Corporeal Prison. AoE that prevents monsters from leaving the area within.
Conjuror = Vortex. Pulls all nearby monsters to the selected area and inflicts heavy.
It's what 1st comes to mind with all of them.
In XI and 1.0 mages got weaponskills that had various utilities, just damage ones, ones that decrease targets defense/m.defense/evasion, some that inflicted debuffs like blind, some that restored hp/mp. But this was a different system where weaponskills worked more like this games limit break, they took a long time to build especially as a mage. Here it would be kind of broken with the way tp works, you'd have a weaponskill that essentially gives you on demand debuffs or mp restore which would take away from other jobs like brd/mch.
Maybe one day they can introduce a mage that's kind of like a counterpart to DRK where it has a stance that slowly drains their tp in exchange for a buff that's the only thing I can think they could do with tp that wouldn't be broken or undermine other jobs.
The TP based caster would be Dancer. The existing casters in the game at the moment are all entirely magic based with no physical training. As such any of the existing casters using TP for anything besides sprinting makes zero sense as they do not train in any skills that use physical exertion or dexterity.
OP you have some arbitrary obsession with making every job use every resource in the game. They don't have to and they shouldn't because it doesn't make any sense. Some jobs use both resources, some don't. Hell SMN, SCH, WAR and MCH already have a second resource in the form of their job mechanics, they don't need another to worry about.
