GP Restoring

I am getting a little grumpy at the fact that I will log out for the night. Come back 9 hours later and login only to see that I still only have 100 GP because it didn't "restore" while I was logged off.

This needs to be adjusted. Whether we get a full restore on log out and login, or whether the game realizes the time difference and actually fills it up.

I would like GP to restore be node.. its kinda stupid the way they have it atm.

People would complain if it filled with a mere logout/in.....but if enough rl time has actually passed that you would have naturally filled up again, then I see nothing wrong with that. It should be full.

On a side note regarding job cd reset out in the field changing jobs:

Don't like any of the cd wait times for simply changing combat jobs....nothing more annoying then finding a dead player .....switching to whm and saying, just wait for cd.....*crickets*........vaccums bedroom while waiting......ummm .....still waiting............*crickets*......sorry its not ready yet..........drool begins to drip from the corner of my mouth.....ahhh screw it.

I don't agree but understand why we cant change jobs while in combat..we shouldn't be able to if anyone in the pt is in combat either.....but if one is out of combat, in the field, cd should be reset immediately upon changing jobs.
So paranoid the game is sometimes -.-

I can see the wait times for things like gathering GP gain so we cant gather toooooo many mats..k fine, but on combat jobs? Oo. its just a huge inconvenience that is not necessary for the type of outdoor content we even have atm.

Not that this answers your problem, but keep in mind Cordials are nice for an emergency GP boost if a node is about to disappear on you. They're available for 500 GC marks, leve rewards, or from Beast Tribe merchants.

Also agree the ridiculously long CD timer for switching jobs. I understand a wait, but it's so long that I don't know why I bother switching sometimes.

1. Do a levequest , turn it in, oh i only have 100 gp, guess i will go clean my room, come back, still not at full, guess i will do some stairs, three stairs later, oh almost there, ok sudoko here i come, hurray, i can finally go back to 1. GP restoration is soul crushing, makes me regret leveling a gatherer...

IIRC you get 5 GP back every few seconds. It works out to being 300 GP regenerated per game hour. YOu also get 5 GP back per swing at a node (except for swings clearing away the obstruction at unspoiled nodes).

With 1 game hour being about 3 RL minutes, waiting for GP to recover is a nuisance but not a big one.

That's fine for normal nodes, but not for timed nodes where you need 600 gp on each of them. Especially with how close spawns are and the fact that they only stay up for 50-55 game minutes.

I disagree, if you know the locations for your node spawns you can regen your 600 gp w/in the windows but it is something you have to be mindful of. When I need ALL THE THINGS: 9 Chyshal greens>11 adamantite ores>1 folklore node>3 folklore node>5 folklore node>7 folklore node Start rotation over, if it ever gets hairy pop a cordial! I rarely need ALL THE THINGS but this is how I roll. Ofc it is different if you need other nodes and then you adjust accordingly. It can be done but you have to be thinking and knowing where you are going next.

It would be great if there was a GP restore slot at nodes, that would restore a set amount of GP (more than the normal 5 per swing). That way the player has a choice, either collect an item, or restore some GP quicker. Plus, it would add more complexity to rotations. I'm not sure what it could be...maybe 50? 100?

IMHO GP restoration should be a percent value instead of that fixed 5 per few secs. 5 points is ok on lower levels but it's a snorefest when you're repeatedly waiting for 600 points to regen. Oh well, I guess the cordial vendors need to feed their families too. And pay the rent.

you need to suck it up, my little Hyur. This, in my opinion, is part of the challenge with 3.0 gathering. You can't gather EVERYTHING and fi you try this is what you get. It keeps prices from being too inflated(in theory) and it gives us gatherers more of a challenge.

It's not a challenge, its tedium. And making all the folklore spawn at the same time doesn't stop prices from being inflated, it's what's causing them to be inflated in the first place.

My biggest gripe is that when you change to a gatherer from another job, you will get only get 400/600 GP regardless of where you are. So on your first node you will be short on GP just because the game says so

400 is the base GP. Although it is not stated anywhere, your combat and crafting classes all have that base 400 GP. If you were to meld 50 GP to your combat gear, then spend a lot of time in that particular class/job, changing to a gathering class would see you at 450 GP rather than just 400.

IMO that hidden stat should be set at 2000, or your MP level, whichever is higher. It would not permit you to class swap for a complete refill, but it would enable you to refill to max while on other classes/jobs.

I remember the days when you would start with 0 GP coming from other jobs, 400 is pretty nice.
