Is chocobo racing the fastest way to earn MGP now

from 3.25, or are these only one time rewards like dungeon first times. What are the regular rewards then? I might actually try Chocobo racing now that the rewards seem decent enough where I don't want to spend 1 year of grinding to buy an emote. /kappa1337doritosmlgkarambitfade

"Players will only receive a reward for first-time completion."

Directly from patch notes. No idea what you can get after that. Probably nothing since they sound kinda like the Verminion challenges.

The challenge race rewards require hefty stats. My pedigree 2 chocobo is not even 80 rating at rank 40. It's really going to depend on how much they increased the regular race rewards, because it's pretty excruciating road to pedigree 9.

Getting to 9 isn't that bad, unlike how it was when it first came out. Very much a tedious grind still though. It's getting a good bird at ped 9 that's going to make or break your "endgame" racing lol. RNG is no different in Chocobo breeding than it is in any other part of the game.

yeah i burnt alot of mgp trying to get really good certificates to breed with.. in the end i thought yeah ill wait til get fenrir atleast think im currently grade 4 or 5 so hope its enough for some challenges lol

It's all about the baby steps in order to save your sanity. With the adjustments to the NPCs and map layout, hopefully it won't be as much of a (seemingly) cheating situation like it is/was. NPCs bypassing environment obstacles (like the Peiste) in higher rating brackets and so on. That crap infuriates me when I encounter it. My bad luck and bs situations in racing games is uncanny. Friends that I've played Mario Kart with would absolutely testify to that.

I loved chocbo racing and this is a welcomed addition for more MGP but I wish they'd put as much effort into story content as they do PvP and Gold Saucer content (LoV/Chocobo Racing/Mini-Games)

haha my sis rings me up when coming to visit if her partner has her kids... only thing she says on the phone

no kids.. mario kart.. its on like donkey kong then hangs up every freakin time lol

I think it's fast, but keep in mind it costs MGP to raise your Chocobo as well. Costs have been cut down but it's still going to take time.

A combination of Chocolate racing/GATE's should yield the fastest amount of MGP IMO. Don't forget challenge log.

A quick way to gain MGP would be to do the challenges set in place in your challenge log, also mini-caturpot has a good kick out of MGP if the numbers fall in line. You can also enter the tourny's do the events that pop up there and those put out some as well.

Given how long its been since any sort of relevant changes were made to Gold Saucer content, it's not that big of a deal, especially given this is a minor patch. One could justifiably argue that LoV was something of substance, but given the lack of popularity amongst and how quickly it plummeted to oblivion (due to numerous reasons), it's hardly something meaningful by itself lol.

Honestly, I sincerely doubt the amount of effort put into PvE combat and story is any less than what they do for PvP and GS. It's likely just that they can do more with PvP and Gold Saucer because of how simple the concepts are (no need to balance out an entire varying raid composition, boss mechanics, graphics for the environment, etc). No need to worry about continuity inconsistencies, such as ilvl progression and story. Also, don't forget that story is one small division of the team, and for an MMORPG, it's hit or miss with players as to whether or not they'll enjoy it, even if it were considered a masterpiece by general convention. Focus on reading isn't exactly popular these days.
