Don't let people roll on loot if they revive themselves during a fight

Too many damn times now I've gotten into midas only for moochers to get the damn loot every time. They stay dead for over half of the boss fight, as well as reviving themselves to the start of the level, and because random groups won't wipe to prevent idiots from getting a clear for doing nothing, they're able to roll on loot, and more times than not they ALWAYS get the damn items.

I'm getting really damn tired of this bullcrap going on every day because of the current 'systems' implemented in XIV.

And what about someone that does well but makes one a single mistake and dies at the end but doesn't get the raise? The game won't be able to tell who deserves it and who doesn't and it'll hurt more good people than it will stop bad ppl from getting loot.

If they A.) Go back to start during the fight and B.) The fight is indeed won then maybe. For sure not for someone who is just dead though, for the reason Gokuhan said.

I personally would put the dungeon on lootmaster. Explain to everyone the conditions such as you stated above with dead = no loot. People who live roll /random for loot drops. Highest roller wins.

That is only if you host the party. If you don't and the loot is set to normal loot rules well then, not to sound rude but suck it up. You knew the rules of looting before entering. You could have just found another group.

I said dead for half of the fight. The game can check time logs when someone dies and could possibly have a timer that disables them being able to roll on loot when dead for a certain amount of time (Not to mention the trash players who always decline the revive and just sit there when in a full pug group). MANY times now I've had people decline being revived when dead for over half of the fight.

On that note, people who don't enter the boss room (in other words are "locked out" of the room because of inactivity or just being moochers) shouldn't be able to roll for items.

There would be more problems arising from that.. Tank or some specific players would pull before players finished loading/watching cutscene.. More odds in winning the loot..

Sweet.. And now our loot powers are taken hostage by healers who intently may not raise us for that specific reasons..

this will never happen OP. Honestly have never seen this sort of thing happen. Have not seen any issues.

Agreed, the suggestion will never be implemented but in a round about sort of way, I did what OP was complaining about.

Explaination:
I was playing in the morning, I have two young children. Neither was awake when I started playing. I was in World of Darkness.
After Angra Mainyu, my older child woke, he sat down next to me and watched.
During 5 header dragon, my younger child woke, I had to change him. Put a brief msg in chat and went to attend.
While I was upstairs my older son, picked up the controller and started "playing", he was only 5 at the time.
Well by the time I came back down to the game there were some unkind statements in the chat, comprising of complete agreement by all alliances to kick me. My son even won a roll on treasure.
I did not bother to explain, I just let them kick me. I was probably going to quit any ways to make breakfast for the kids.
But ya, I spent a bunch of the 5 header dragon fight not truly around (and probably dead a bunch) too, and did win the role.

More often than not, people die to someone else's mistake. At least in any harder content.

It's not really as black and white as "dead=bad", although dying on content like Midas normal is usually one's own fault.

Nvm re-read what you said, I agree that people shouldn't be able to roll if they use hard ress mid-run.

I think if you see someone actually declining a raise all the time or reviving themselfs at the start you should tell the party about that and simply votekick this person.
Even if the party won't see/answer you it's possible to commence votekick right after the fight ends. It will still go through even if someone opens the treasure chest after that. Just wait until the boss has 1% and then prepare to votekick as soon as it dies.
It may not work every time but I've done it quite a lot in CT raids and VA against trolls and simple "not rolling on the loot" never saved them from being votekicked ;)

Simple warn the party about it and say you are wiping for a vote dismiss of said person. You really just need 3-4 people to agree on that and it'll be a wipe. But no not for just a release - people can click to fast after rez lands and still get returned to start and mistakes happen.
