Suggestion: Remove tomes from Ranked PvP

I'm not a fan of PvP. However I, like many others, PvP for the convenience of getting tomes, especially Lore.

If I don't have much time left to play this game, or there's only a few in-game hours left before an unspoiled node spawns, I do a little PvP. I go in as a healer because it's an instant queue, and get 10 Lore tomestones for essentially 5-10 mins work.

I'm not the best healer in the world when it comes to PvE, and I'm probably even worse in PvP. I try to win, but I don't worry if I lose. I still get 10 lore either way. And that's the problem.

I am sure that there are lots of players who play ranked PvP and don't even try to win, just so they can finish the game quicker.

I don't believe there is any place in ranked PvP to earn tomestones, especially for the losing team. By removing tomes from ranked PvP, it will remove players (like me) who will only go in just to farm tomes, and leave the players who actually care about their rank to participate in ranked play.

i would agree to remove tomes, but i would replace it with some alternative incentive. maybe seals instead? nothing major but its a helpful thing anyway

If only the people who cared did PVP, it'd be rather empty. And hey, there's always the Fold for that :P

Honestly. I think all of us who actually care for PvP would almost rather it be a desolate wasteland, rather than deal with the absolute mess that we've had since Feast dropped. Because at least when our queues finally popped, you knew it was people who would actually try to win.

I think Tomes should only be awarded to the winning team, honestly.

well maybe alternatively reduce the lore or increase it from real PvE content so the people who have no interest in PvP won't even queue and wasting 7 other peoples time just to take some shortcut to min max their PvE sets.

No, I feel this is healthy for PvP, and the game in general. Running experts is dull to me now, at least I can queue for PvP, have fun and still get some tomes out of it.

This is the way I feel about it. I just came back to the game and I'm in love with the new game modes. The PvP population isn't large enough to start taking away incentives to run it.

Give them 1 lore for losers. winners get 50 lores :P

It's sad that people would ruin pvp for others like that, but it's really gotten to the point where I'd rather wait a bit longer and play with people that actually want to be there for the pvp. Just give no tomes on a loss so the people who actually want to pvp can still use it to cap just at a slower rate.

I would just remove it from 4v4 premade. If you're farming lore or eso or whatever in solo queue then you've already screwed over the other 3 people on your team and you'll be reported based on that. it's hard to report 4 people going in premade and throwing matches. Of course it destroys the integrity of the ladder, but.

All that, for a 5-10 minute match? Removing tomes from PvP will kill it before it even properly begins, no thanks. Perhaps double tomes received from a win? I'd say that would motivate people to try harder. Cutting the rewards in half (or removing them entirely) from losing will make loses even more demotivating, and might even breed a toxic environment.
